General Discussion / Re: Bitshares price discussion
« on: November 04, 2015, 03:37:35 am »
This feels like a turning point for bitshares in particular and crypto in general. BTC holders just made a ton of money and in the near future they could make lots more. If the past is any prologue, within the next two years, the price of btc could potentially increase by x25 from where it is today. After that a new global class of digitally wealthy people will form.  BTC will fuel the nascent fintech industry because it's the lifeblood for funding altcoin/2.0 projects everywhere. As BTC reaches a critical mass in price, wealth will start to pour into 2.0 projects like bitshares and all of our wildest dreams will be realized in a flash. Right now I think we are witnessing the turning of the tide after 2 years. This is the darkest hour and probably the best time to hold and buy if you can.

I AM HODLING

Did you exported key file ectually hold the OWNER and ACTIVE keys of your account?

You should do the following:
1) open bitshares 0.9.3 and enter the console
2) wallet_dump_account_private_key <accountname> owner_key
3) wallet_dump_account_private_key <accountname> active_key
4) take those two keys and import tham manually using the key import tool
5) you should now see an account that you can use to import your funds

Thanks.  My problem is that (unlike the BTS wallet) the link to Existing Accounts doesn't display so I don't know how to navigate to the import tool:

How do I get to the key import tool in this wallet?

I didn't hear any roll-calls for usernames this time for Brownie distribution. Are attendance Brownies still a thing?

General Discussion / Re: IOTA + Bitshares
« on: October 30, 2015, 11:05:12 pm »
I have just skimmed the paper and must say that it has some very innovative ideas that are very similar to some a white paper I am writing.  I reference your paper by mine.

I think there is potential for IOTA and CNX to work together on providing the best possible technology for micro-transactions.   As I mentioned on Mumble today, our internal project codenamed Plasma is aiming to make transactions free and instant and thus perfect for micro transactions.

There are just a few nuggets of inspiration missing from IOTA that when fused by Plasma will amplify your system.

Once I complete the white paper I think you will be very excited to work with us on standardization.

Muse/SoundDAC / No option to select an existing account using the .dmg
« on: October 30, 2015, 12:14:21 am »
I've restarted and reloaded the app many times but still don't have the option to select an existing account so I'm unable to claim my balance. Any ideas?

I think they don't have the proper reserve so they are trying to come up with a technical reason to use like Mt GOX using the "transaction malleability" excuse.

The community needs to step up and help BTC38.

Uh no. BTC38 needs to step up and prove they have the reserves and not running a Ponzi.

I cannot claim my balance, because I cannot select my existing account name in the balance claim page

Is everyone having issues claiming funds with windows release?

That was a last minute fix.

I don't have the option to select an existing account either using the .dmg

Restart the app and try again.

Restarted multiple times with no luck.

Any idea?
Click "BTS/BTC" and it'll flip to display as "BTC/BTS" just like the previous wallet.
