The p2p log right after it happens would be useful.

This sounds like a resource leak that prevents new files from being opened.

I've sent you PM with all the details. Hope my simple analysis helps.

Backup your wallet.
Then try to remove all the files/directories except /wallets/ and /chains/ under .BitSharesx/.
Then launch the client again.
