BitShares PTS / Re: ProtoShares holding ground in the face of the Storm
« on: February 10, 2014, 07:38:21 pm »
I think PTS prices are where they are, because of BTC donations in AGS. Lately they've been increasing a bit, and so does the PTS price.

On angelshares info, I have 2 master book addresses where on agsexplorer I have one, agsexplorer shows all 7 addresses on one page

318
There's also an inconsistency with the master book. This address 1BjTwEbz3Ns4PqX6GAdcWQDXYjYvERdhE9 is associated to my main address on agsexplorer but not on angelshares.

BitShares AGS / Re: What is the smallest investment allowed in Angel Shares
« on: February 08, 2014, 06:38:18 pm »
If you want to donate everyday, you could go for 0.01 btc.
Also investing half a PTS a day should result in getting AGS

BitShares AGS / Re: Invested in AGS from Coinbase webwallet
« on: February 07, 2014, 10:56:00 pm »
When you invest in angelshares, they track the address the funds came from.  With Coinbase, they have all the bitcoins in a big rotating storage system so the address they would have been sent from would not have been attached to your coinbase account.

So yeah, I think you're screwed on that donation.

Hi Adam, are you sure about this ? I recall when i invested, i check the angelshares explorer and my permanent coinbase wallet address showed in the list of donators along with the correct amount i invested.

If its a matter of "im screwed on that donation" well i'm gonna have to talk to bytemaster as that would be unacceptable. I have records of the investment.

I am not sure about this, and if Coinbase has permanent addresses that are attributable to you that might solve things.  Also as you mentioned, if you can positively identify your donation there *should* be a way for invictus to make sure you get your due.

but generally speaking, you'll recover your AGS by importing your wallet.dat that contains the private key to the address you donated from.   I don't know how you can do that with Coinbase, but if you can than no problem.

Yeah i dont think coinbase allows u to import/ export a wallet.dat, so that might be a problem. However, They do give you permanent addresses that are linked to your account forever

I wasn't aware of that aspect, i'm gonna drop Dan an PM and see what he thinks.

Thanks

Coinbase has backups and private keys of your bitcoin address, however they have a policy not to share them. See http://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/questions/695389-backup

What about the exchange rate of BTS to BTC? Does anybody want to speculate on what that may be?

Please correct if wrong.
Before the AGS funding round PTS was traded at 0.03 BTC, then every PTS would be awarded with 1 BTS. And there would be 20 million.

The average daily BTC donation, prices AGS under 0.01BTC.

So not taking in to account that BTS is more scarce, and assuming BTS release would take 200 days (unlikely) This would be a factor 3 ROI.

This is a very low estimation, but I don't like to be over optimistic with investments. Also BTS should be considered the first dividend payout. There will be multiple BTS chains and DAC's which should pay at least 10% to the AGS holders.

BitShares AGS / What happens to donations from non-personal wallets?
« on: January 22, 2014, 11:37:27 pm »
With the upcoming conference and extra media coverage, AGS donations will likely draw new crowds. But what would happen if someone were to donate from let's say his bitstamp account?

Not giving a refund might end up in bad "vibes".

If a refund were to be given, this would mean that the donations have to be recalculated. But since the AGS parsers only count incoming transactions, it wouldn't count the refund.

323
Not. really a bug or typo, but it should be pointed out that donations should be made from owned wallets. (Not bitstamp, gox cryptsy.....) Pvw5u6QQBoVt52i5CuDJnWc7EHyjQc4ziU

BitShares AGS / Re: [AGS-PARSER] Testers/Feedback needed!
« on: January 08, 2014, 08:38:56 pm »
''I just noticed a minor glitch in my new API version, pls see this thread. https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1989.0
the AGS value for angelshares.info is correct, it displays the same as my API v0.2 did. got to fix the new version asap!''

Been checking my addresses so far on v4 and they seem to add up. But coming back to the ags balance difference. The math should be simple: donation/total daily donation*5000. So after checking this with v4, angelshares.info is still 2% off.

BitShares AGS / Re: Daily BTC Donations Chart

Why does the CSV file show a timestamp for 18:15? Shouldn't this be 0:00?
And If I'm not mistaken, the time of the first confirmation counts right? On 1-6, 10+ BTC was donated just before 0:00, but confirmed at 00:28. So are these numbers accurate?

Marketplace / Re: 250 PTS Bounty - AngelShare Explorer Bounty [LAST CALL]
« on: January 08, 2014, 12:47:56 am »
After crosschecking my addresses on angelshares.info and agsexplorer. The AGS/PTS balances seem to be exactly the same. But the AGS/BTC balances are about 1% lower on angelshare.info. (on each address, donated every day)

Which one is correct?

Quote from agsexplorer: Warning! BTC Blockchain data feed is currently out of sync. BTC donated today is more that it shows.

The data comes from your ags parser right? The parser just updated checking for example this address: 17axnhTwUXVUA6hqd8Es9YS84sQFyHw7ys  should get 0.94140473 AGS
But checking the same address on angelshares.info gets 0.9206048500371309 AGS (2% less)

So just to be sure, the agsparser contains the right data?

General Discussion / Re: Announcing Angel Shares & BitShares Allocation
« on: January 06, 2014, 04:25:31 pm »
A Noob question:

If donated several times in the last days with bitcoin qt and protoshares qt. Every time I did this, a new address was made.
So for each address that holds ags, I need to dump the private key.

When the time comes, is there a way to ''autodump'' all keys, or do I have to dump every key separate?

And is there also a way to import multiple keys at once?

@bytemaster I am submitting http://agsexplorer.com

The site is built on @donschoe's parsed blockchains data.  We will split the bounty if winning.  Feedbacks are welcome.

Yeah great site, and quick. Was just checking the diferent adresses. Might be better, to show 0 ags balance when an adress doesn't hold ags, instead of ''We're sorry, but something went wrong.''
