General Discussion / A Personal Beyond Bitcoin Delegate?
« on: July 24, 2014, 09:10:15 am »
I have really been considering running a delegate to fund development of the Beyond Bitcoin sphere.  However, I have reservations about taking money for the good works I am trying to provide as I feel it might create the wrong incentives for me, personally.

However, Gamey has expressed that he believes it is a smart idea for me to run one and start as early as possible.  He says I deserve it, but he might be biased because he is my buddy.

So this thread is to ask the community what their opinions are...

I was definitely considering running a delegate to pay expressly for operating expenses, but that was as far as it went.  This delegate would be to pay--me.  Sounds crazy, but I would like honest assessments.

General Discussion / Brent Allsop...the fantastic Rascal
« on: July 23, 2014, 10:45:35 am »
If something really big happens in the coming weeks--I mean something that makes you wish you would have bought more when it was low, it is important you know that the catalyst of this event was likely Mr. Brent Allsop.  So please feel free to thank him if/when this event occurs...

Don't worry, this thread will be updated if/when it does so you can give him your high  +5%'s

General Discussion / New Beyond Bitcoin Website (Link to thread)
« on: July 22, 2014, 11:34:57 pm »
We're gaining steam because of the community.  This is a great opportunity to update everyone on the infrastructure being built to help each of you teach others, honor projects you love, and earn the trust needed to bring real value to the ecosystem.

Please feel free to offer suggestions or pm with questions.

Beyond Bitcoin [closed] / New Beyond Bitcoin Website!
« on: July 22, 2014, 11:31:16 pm »
Attention Community.  Thanks to JabbaJabba, we have a new website for Beyond Bitcoin!

He is adding functionality to enable anyone to register an account and post content under the community(ies) for which you wish to be a primary representative, post news/updates/opinions and tipping addresses (so you can be tipped in the coin of your choice).  People will also be able to vote up content, which will give it a higher chance of coverage in our weekly Dev Hangout...so be sure to use it!

It is recommended you use your account name on BitSharestalk and/or your registered unique bitshares x TITAN ID--unless you are choosing to be a primary representative for another community, in which case you will use the name your community trusts most. This will be the model for both "coins" and "DACs".

Remember, each of you represent a very small subset of the population who actually have a conceptualization of what DACs are and how they can be used.  Your passion for crypto and hard work has given you insight that is extremely valuable moving forward.  Show what you have learned, share and earn trust with the community.  Who knows, their may someday be a competition to see who gets to control advertisements on the Homepage.

I have tipped Jabba 13 PTS of the 32.5 PTS I was tipped last weerk.  But I feel this is not nearly enough.  If you agree, please feel free to send him a thank  you at his PTS address:  PZMHJSUT1oEfsJmzPSfZYpK9j9W3Xcj4bV

It is quite possible that BitShares, NXT, NHZ and others will compete with, and eventually overcome all of these...

This outlines the basics of a user's role in their plan.  This is apparently the model that is considered best among the alternatives.  Hopefully it will offer us an ability to see where we have solutions and where some need to be invented/constructed before role-out.
