General Discussion / Re: [POLL] How much would you sell your BTS for?
« on: March 10, 2014, 02:45:08 pm »
I'll sell all mine for $15/ea.
and i will buy them  :D

and i don't buy a pizza with them

Why?  If this poll is a good representation of the entire pool of BTS owners then based on this poll there should be about 132K BTS for sale between $1-$5 when they start trading.  IMO, because this poll was made in the BTS forum, it's more optimistic than the general population of BTS owners.  If this is accurate you should easily be able to buy BTS at $5.  Think of this poll as the offer side of a trading book.  The lowest offer and highest bid is the market.

Please explain?????? >:(

https://pmtocoins.com/index.php?

ever heard of templates? The time it takes to start from scratch on just the front-end is too much, the web designer opted to start with an existing template. as i said, that was pre-pre-alpha, there is a lot being changed visually although i am more concerned with the matching engine and security.

Patience, keep calm. Barwizi barely sleeps.

Sorry, I don't anything about development.  I didn't know templates are common.

I definitely think it's a good idea to be the first mover in the world of music.  Gambling, and Domains have  been done already.  Bitshares Music can take crypto to the next level with the general population.  Everyone can relate to music.  This is a no brainer in my mind.

If he is serious and is willing to put in the effort it won't be stopped with a few scam posts.  Any attempt to stop it might just add more marketing fuel to the clone.  It is what it is, right?

Once again I come here looking for information and have to dig through forums for vague answers from forum participants, instead of a quick clean answer from an official source. I expected at least a STICKY forum post with this info.

Where are the official instructions for the Time the snapshot is taken, and how to export and save your keys?

Where is the official new Bitshares wallet download location, and instructions on how to import your keys?

Where is the advertising and announcements that this is even occurring?

Why do you not make this easy for the general public to access and understand?

You didn't miss anything, there are no publicly available tools yet. The snapshot doesn't mean the software is publicly available. It just means when the software is available, the genesis block will be based on the snapshot.

you don't need to do anything yet, just make sure you don't delete your wallet (or at least back up your wallet.dat). There is nothing to do, just sit tight and wait for the software to be released.

Well, there is something he needs to do.  He needs to have PTS in his private PTS wallet where he controls the private keys by the deadline.  If he's purchasing AGS, then I believe today is the last day to donate.

BitShares AGS / Re: AGS-PTS Value Quotes

BitShares PTS / Re: Price

It should be a volatile trading day.

I see another downside to AGS because what if your AGS wallet gets hacked.  They get all shares of your future DACS!  I'm investing in PTS because of this.  For a measure of safety.
Only the ags funds would be compromsed, not your stake in future dacs

Well it would be a race to see who could load the wallet and transfer the funds in the new DAC to a safe location first, assuming the keys you used to send to AGS were compromised.

This is a real concern of mine and reason to consider launching a new chain that allows transfer of AGS to safe keys.  I suspect *someone* will do this with or without our blessing and then market participants will have to choose which chain to honor... the tradable version or the original fixed version.

Will future Invictus DACs honor a tradable AGS?  This is an important question that I wouldn't mind answered before the 28th.  A yes to this question would make AGS ridiculously more valuable than PTS at this moment in time.

What's an "immature" PTS?  Any PTS in my wallet for the snapshot better get BTS. Or else  >:(.  No announcement has ever mentioned anything about this so called "immature" PTS.

"immature" is the status of block from mining income.

We are running a PTS mining pool(upcpu.com), so we want to know if we need to transfer the "immature" PTS to the miners' wallet, at the time of snapshot.

I'm not a miner...obviously.

No, there is no working product and the masses do not understand how bts x is supposed to work. I3 are barely handling the attention they are getting at some cost to engineering time

There seems to be a lot of fear that BTS isn't going to work.

Please please please get a spokesperson.  Presentation is important [snipped the rest]

On the contrary, Dan did a great job presenting this. One of the things that attracted me to Invictus is that its stated aims are clear, and its development is done in an open and transparent way. I dont want some slick salesman giving me BS, and this video reminded me exactly why investing in Dan's company was a great thing to do. Also, think of Dan's feelings before you write something offensive again.

Offensive? Really? I believe in Daniel and his ideas.  However he is not the best spokesperson.  He does not appear comfortable on camera and that can make the viewer uncomfortable.  I doubt that Daniel would have his feelings hurts by my comments.  This is not a cult....we are all here because we believe in what 3I are trying to do and we believe in the implications of this technology.  Presentation is important, and while the content is excellent, this presentation was very bad.  We're adults working towards the same goals.  Please don't try to silence legitimate criticism or fight imaginary fights.  Let's move forward together.  Thanks.

I'd have to agree. I think that this video could have been done better. Dan is actually a really good spokesperson, but his general demeanor in this video appears uncomfortable. While this video may be suitable for current investors, I do not think that it will serve to attract those that have not heard about I3 or are on the fence about investing in the companies future.

Dan does a good job, but I tend to agree about using a professional speaker/marketer for the more general audience.  This seems like more of a job for the Marketing Director as I'm sure he has much more public speaking experience.  Like was said above, the video is fine for the current investors.  Then again, not coming across as too salesy is a good thing.
