After many failure attempts I finally managed to get this thing working!

Can someone please send me some funds so I can try it out?

XTSDFgKHZEfSRkskvKRBcyBBWhDWcb4hJqhi

this doesn't look like your public key, can't add you as a contact as key is not recognized (and doesn't start with XTS{5,6,7,8}... , which I think all public keys do start with).

you should give the one listed in wallet_list_my_accounts

might be that after git checkout, you need to do a
Code: [Select]
git submodule init && git submodule update
forgot it myself a few times, now I remember ;)

I wrote some scripts these last days for the dry runs to help me build an updated version of the bitshares client and run it easily, and thought some people might find them useful, so I put them here:

Comments/patches welcome ;)

wow, connected to the network immediately (with a lot of stable connections), transactions go through blazingly fast, this dry run really looks good. Great work!

don't worry, it's just another dry run, although the name of this one (a new hope) was maybe not so well chosen ;)

announcing: dry run 5: a walk into Mordor  :P

tried git e724df5e, doesn't connect either...

tried on osx with NAT in Spain (upnp says port mapping is successful) and on a linux VPS with a public ip in France, but none of them connects...

It doesn't connect. Only for me? I've tried restarting it 6 to 7 times.
FYI, my VPS located in San Francisco.

doesn't connect for me either, same git revision, VPS in France. I'm thinking maybe the seed node (seems there's only one in this dry run) has reached his maximum number of connections and doesn't accept new ones?

I can't connect with the latest (991ec4), not in linux and not in osx either...  :(

seems like seed node is up, though:

Code: [Select]
$ ping 107.170.30.182
PING 107.170.30.182 (107.170.30.182): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 107.170.30.182: icmp_seq=0 ttl=47 time=132.586 ms
64 bytes from 107.170.30.182: icmp_seq=1 ttl=47 time=132.939 ms
64 bytes from 107.170.30.182: icmp_seq=2 ttl=47 time=133.373 ms

maybe it's full and doesn't accept connections anymore? Someone else has a public ip seed node I could connect to? Cheers!

General Discussion / Re: Dry Run 3: A Game of Delegates
« on: June 20, 2014, 01:28:25 pm »
btw, I only have 1 new delegate up and running for now, but I can see that there are still some unelected-delegates in the list of active ones. Should I create more new delegates in order to "push" the unelected ones out, or should we just wait until more people join in?
