Oh, he'll still do it.  Steemit just won't be the one to benefit from it.

You know that doesn't make any sense, right? Please tell me that you're only pretending to think that this guy is on the level.

If he had something truly valuable to offer, why does his business model depend on up-front payments instead of profit-sharing?

That model was still under development, but it all comes down to how you monetize an asset without creating a security.
I was still thinking it through, as a consultant, but he didn't want to wait till I had all the theoretical foundation developed.
When I get it figured out, it could be a useful new use case.
I'll publish it when I think its ready for peer review.

Successful people do not respond to criticism the way this guy does as they live to be competitive and prove their worth...

I have only seen two of his pitches, the mission 2 from a month back and this one yesterday, however they just scream too good to be true.  If he really wants to grab the attention of blockchain users there has to be more hard hitting details of such plan before asking for 50k cash...  Both video's still leave me in the air on exactly what his game plan is.

@Stan Since you have been working with them, can you help us connect the dots?

Well, no one ever let us fully develop the concept.
Perhaps I'll blog about it when I get a few spare hours.
Using bitshares to hold someone's payment for gold in the ground as escrow to borrow heros against to pay for mining it is the basic idea.
It's a way to solve the counterparty problem for all sorts of asset backed coins.
There are tons of illiquid assets out there, and using hero technology to secure them is a promising use case.

Successful people quickly recognize when they encounter intractable obstacles and cut their losses.
It's not thinned skin rage, its simple pragmatic realism.

Oh, Stan, when you will learn that get-rich-quick online marketers are the lowest scum of internet business? You can't ever win if you work with them.

BTS and Steemit to the moon? Yeah, right. This guy didn't last even 24h. He edited the original post, all there is left is this: "Bye steemit. You're not ready for this."

Oh, he'll still do it.  Steemit just won't be the one to benefit from it.

I believe in his team having worked with them for the past month.

Take the blue pill and believe whatever you want.

General Discussion / Re: Where is the BTS marketing team?

Marketing team is currently getting pounded by The Usual Suspects on Steemit.

There is MUCH marketing going on and This Summer has barely begun.

SovereignHero.com for example.

Howdy Bitmarket

Welcome back!

We had to edit the video per the request of one of the players I mentioned.
That broke the links.

Apparently you don't want to edit a post once it gets a lot of upvotes for some reason, so once broken it's stuck.

I'll post the link to the video as soon as the edit is complete.

ATTENTION ON DECK!

If you want to see BTS and Steemit go to the moon, we need a lot of love on this post:

Steemit-Based Reality Game Announced: $10 million prize pool — Steemit
This my first post on Steemit. Thanks for having me. I'm extremely excited about the future for Steemit. So… by matttrainer

This is the guy who did the big Hollywood event we spoke at.  Now he's focused his whole company on this game and driving BTS/STM to the moon.

The object of the contest is to generate a 1000x increase in the size of the jackpot.  This is accomplished by causing the whole world to compete to own BitShares and issue HEROs doing a thousand gameified tasks.  Because everyone is playing and competing for BitShares, it is not hard to imaging the market cap doing what bitcoin and Ethereum have already done "naturally"... only much faster.

If the value of the jackpot increases 1000x, then all BTS increase by 1000x.  This give confidence for companies of all sizes to participate with their own revenue streams.

Once it reaches full scale, network effect kicks in and people are spending HEROs and paying transaction fees that cause the network to continue to appreciate until it grows the very economy of the whole world.
(since transaction fees take even more bts out of circulation.)

 People have three motivations:
1) to grow their own BTS nest egg.
2) to heroically contribute to the world's supply of Heros.
3) To help their tribe's Good Cause win the first place prize.

In the process, a global economy backed stably appreciating reserve currency is born.
All wrapped in world-wide reality TV and global promotion to mainstream people... leading to acceptance because everyone participated in creating it.

We are donating the $1,000,000 seed money, if you are wondering where that came from.

In the process of playing the game we'll teach everyone about digital currencies and make them comfortable with it.

Teams are scored by how many HEROs they are collectively backing.

You can change teams any time by changing your proxy link.

I've watched whole presentation. It's .. AMAZING!

I don't know what's coming but I do know it is one hell of a good presentation. I am impressed.
If only a fraction of it become true it is going to be "THIS SUMMER" we all been waiting for.

Thanks for sharing and I recommend for everyone to take a look.

P.S. I might short few of a Hero's too.

One thing I failed to mention - CRS, the folks who put on that amazing three days, are practically dedicating their company to gameifying and marketing the global Billion Hero Challenge.  Paul Aaron, the famous Hollywood producer/director spent many hours with us to begin fleshing
out a game plan for The Heroic Race meets Surviving Hero.

All we can do is hope graphene is still relevant by that time.

All we can do is hope graphene is still relevant by that time.
Plasma OS will NOT REPLACE graphene .. it will EXTEND it.
Is plasma EOS?

Take Plasma.
Let Bytemaster sleep on it for two years...

EOS seems to be similar to Aeternity, wondering which one will be better?.

Is there any doubt?

@Permie The only thing I was saying is that there should be liquidity to buy bitgold for 1,254 - 1,260 bitusd which is currently the price of gold..I do not want to change anything in the way the system works..
The only thing that needs to be done is people willing to buy or sell bitgold for bitusd at the current price and not be obliged to pay 1,500 bitusd for 1 oz of bitgold for example...

The peg is maintained between bts and bitusd as normal which works great for the last 3 years..the bitfiat:bitgold will be bots doing the bitfiat:bitgold peg..I don't know if there needs to adjust some parameters though as we did with bitusd and bitcny for this to work.

@Stan  :) :) :) You are truly the grandfather of BTS. Thank you very much for your involvement all these years!

Thanks.
I actually am the father of the father of BTS, but grandfather doesn't sound as good as godfather:

Ok guys...forget I mentioned bitbtc... I could not care less about it..

What I do care is about people who have no access to financial markets, who do not trust centralized exchanges or banks and are afraid to hold physical metals in their house to be able to buy bitsilver and bitgold at market value price and keep it safely on a decentralized exchange..
I also care about providing liquidity between bitusd, bitcny, biteur and bitsilver and bitgold not only pairs between bts: bitsilver and bitgold because bts is volatile and sometimes the transition from bitfiat to bts to bitmetals can be proved profitable but other times not..so someone who uses the DEX to save do not want to go through this volatility..

What can we do to provide bitfiat:bitmetals liquidity? Do we need to change some parameters?

Whales and bots to the rescue!! :)

I'm working on the whales.  Somebody do the bots.
