OK, I used my phone to browse over and all I can find are options to create a new account.  How do I access the wallet I already created?

I went to the website.  Created a wallet.  Imported private keys.  Balance never showed.  Closed browser.  Now when I try to load the wallet using the link on the bitshares site, it just says "Loading..."

So, how do I get to my broken online wallet to try and recover my shares?  I have to say, making the client worse and worse with each iteration is really a feat.  Every time I think it can't get any more broken, it does.

HODLing since the start,

Cubic

6) sync up with the network

.. then everything should be fine

Thanks.  Everything worked until step six.  The software completely pegs my computer, sucking up all memory and causing errors all over the place.  SO I rebooted and left it alone to do its thing.  Now it keeps crashing and retarting fresh.  Furthest I've gotten is 50% caught up.  What a clusterfuck.

Hi Guys, I tried opening my BTS wallet for the first time in months but it keeps telling me I have the wrong password.  Which is odd; I know it's right.  I installed the latest version; same problem.  Uninstalled and rebooted and reinstalled; same problem.  I have the private keys so I'd really like to just delete everything, reinstall fresh, create a new wallet and import the keys but I can't figure out how to do that.  Every time it asks me for a password, even on a fresh install.  Any ideas?

I tried again and for some reason it worked.  Thanks to whoever flipped the switch back at the office :)

I always back up my private keys securely offline but I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to do that with BTSx.  I'm logged in to the wallet but when I run "wallet_dump_private_key" it just says "command aborted".  I'd really like to have my keys so I can add them to my secure files.  Any help appreciated.

I'm trying to register my account name but it's bringing up an error "in method 'wallet_account_register': invalid transaction expiration (31012)"

Account is well funded.  Checked the name with blockchain_get_account and it says no account found.

Any ideas?

Thanks. Do you know if they use the bitcoin blockchain?

They do. XCP was credited to the BTC address that initiated the burn, and XCP transactions require a corresponding BTC transaction.

kinda got the idea, hope there will be a simple tutorial to show me how to do that

It will probably be something like this:

Hi guy, I'm trying to send a small test amount to another address generated in the same wallet.  Amount is 0.00275650 PTS.  When I try to send it I receive an error that the amount is too small.  Seems like I should be able to send this amount though.  Ideas?

BitShares PTS / Quick PTS-qt question
« on: February 10, 2014, 02:40:00 am »
I have a pretty long term outlook on Protoshares / Bitshares and I'd greatly prefer to have a wallet stored offline.  I know I can backup my wallet  file electronically, but would it also be feasible to dump my private hey using the instructions here?

http://protoshares.com/redeem.html

If I have the private key I can basically print it out as a paper wallet and reimport it into a fresh qt install if necessary, correct?

I've been using Cryptsy with good success.  Thanks!

Says "lean" twice in the document instead of the proper "lien".

Personally, I wouldn't want to bank with an entity that didn't know the difference...well, maybe if I were borrowing I would ;D

(Just saw this is a doc on the old site.  Not looking for a bounty, but probably should be corrected.)
