In conclusion...

Today is a sad day, a day that I never wanted to see happen but none the less the day has had to come. I announce that Banx is closing down. I have previously said that intention is everything and its always been my intention to do the right thing and grow Banx into a worldwide crypto currency business but after 2 years of extremely hard work I have done everything I can and personally cannot support the business any more. I have had to let all of my employees go together with the offices over the last few months.

There simply is no support any more for this kind of business. I believe the industry wasn’t ready for it and the funding is not available any further. I think its indicative of the crypto currency industry of not only the troll type behaviour that I have endured over the last few months and I also think that banks and governments are not ready to accept the type of business that Banx is. It’s cost a lot of time and money trying to make this a viable legitimate business and its just not possible any more with the cruet climate in the industry.

Thanks to everyone that has supported me I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart and I am really sorry how this has happened and how this final chapter has played out.

All further communications need to be directed to bansemail@gmail.com. This is the only communication channel that will be monitored.

To all all of the people, friends, family and business associates who have supported me with this business you will all have received a personal email from me prior to this announcement. Please check your emails that I have on file for you.

Once again, it’s a sad day, I apologise to everyone that I have tried my best but I can do no more.

Best Regards

Mark Lyford

I saw that recently, that he had 6.8M. He's one of those non-voters listed on cryptofresh I believe. I thought he was long gone. weird for him to sell now, but okay that's $20k.

And frickin' Nxt up 12% today...

Good to hear from the Peerplays guy. And thanks to Dan for speaking about theDAO. It's crazy! I'm very happy to have contributed to AGS funds since it helped Dan learn something, so that he could be the like the wright brothers ( with steem ).

It's not easy to search the open.eth:open.dao market, you literally have to type in that string with the colon to pull it up.

And I wanted to ask, so what openledger is doing, is purchasing the dao by the crowdsale mechanism for you, when buy open.dao on the dex? And they'll be able to redeem it at a later date for you. That is cool, it means we allow people trade it. However I must say I have no idea what this open.dao is, all I find online is about digix-dao. And that crowd sale ended I believe. When does this one end?

this sounds like a smart asset, not a fork of bitshares.

Anyways, was graphene licensed to you by cryptonomex?

but anyways, this a price discussion! not a grow-the-platform discussion. And those are not congruent things.

Let's not look to STEEM or other diversions,
let's focus on what we can do now and move forward… +5%
+5%

It's true, but we can look to STEEM for ideas.
I have doubled my stake in bitshares in the last two days, And I will be looking at worker proposals.

Why STEEM inflation so high?

you can see graphs diverge.

that is inflation so high

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/steem/
There will be ~500M STEEM at the end of the first year.
Then ~100% inflation every year.

STEEM is going to fall to .3 cents like BTS.  Don't buy it until then.

Dat inflation.

by the time that happen's it may be 600 steem per vest? So it would be like buying at 0.3 now...

If the steem isn't being mined any more, and block-rewards are being paid in vests, and posting rewards aren't being paid out until july or june, how is it inflating? Is is from people withdrawing VESTS? And can some one explain by the withdraw ratio is still increasing, is there some pool of steem that is growing?

steem makes me bullish on bitshares. if Larimer can reach a wider audience with that.. so will bitshares. but in the very short term a down trend can be explained by a btc rally and introduction of steem

And just why would I not be thrilled about a new DAC which I consider to have a long term possibility of getting BitShares out of the temporary impasse it has come to?
I believe this too. Some of you should read the white paper if you haven't. If STEEM is successful in acquiring users, then bitshares could follow that success.
