Correct. It will seem to be gone until you click on Assets, then wait a few seconds (this is a key, because it looks blank for the first few seconds) and then you will see the button to let you issue it.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: GUI development worker - svk

This is good. SVK, can you elaborate a bit on what your priorities will be? I see your list from the link you provided, but I'd like to know which additional features (beyond bug fixes and tweaks) you would consider most important for the GUI. Thanks.

Now that's what the dilution was for. Let's invite Uncle Sam in as a partner!

General Discussion / Re: Reached 100 Referrals, time for a recap and AMA

Congrats and thank you for pioneering this. Are you pretty sure it works now in terms of fees? Where can you track these? (other than the Top 10 leaderboard, which a new referrer would not find himself/herself on right away). I would like to start doing some referrals also if the system works. The client/wallet is good enough at this point that I feel comfortable marketing it.

Track fees: you can only track LTM Upgrades currently see http://cryptofresh.com/u/fav > Referred Accounts > look for the ⚡️ next to user names.

that's where I get my referrals stats from

Okay, thanks. I appreciate the information. One of your lightning bolts is a longtime forum member, though (probably one of his many accounts; maybe you can tell who it is by the UIA he's sent in his transaction history), so it might not be fair to count that one in your upgrade analysis.

most of the accounts are not funded. Would be nice to understand why people creating accounts and not using them.

Well, if we ever had true fiat on-ramps, then we would be able to break free from people having to obtain Bitcoin first and go through all those steps. Until then, this remains a niche product, though its prospects are incrementally better every day.

Is it the same person? Are we talking about abusive behavior? If so, I would argue for a forum ban.

Intriguing. I'm not sold yet, but I love the concept and will continue to think about it.

When BitShares traded away the inactivity fee and went with inflation, that was a fork in the road. It would be interesting to know where we would be today if we'd become the world's best crypto. Instead, we've tried to do much more with the blockchain, and hopefully that will be worth the sacrifice.

How about putting a toggle button in the wallet and if someone turns it to "on", you capture some of their fees or have them pay a one-time donation?

I don't know enough about Gandhi and his economic beliefs to be sure.

King was ... economically ...about as far away from freedom as you can get.

It's possible to have tremendous respect for what these leaders stood up for nonviolently without necessarily agreeing with their economic beliefs. The contexts in which they lived, and the things their people needed badly, are not necessarily the same as the problems that you and I face. Also, I have never been comfortable taking someone who is an expert in one field and automatically assuming that that expertise should extend to other fields. If someone is a great neurosurgeon or casino mogul, how do we know that person's greatness would translate into being a great president or a great cookbook author? And there are rare people who are true Renaissance folks and have diverse skills and interests; I'm not precluding that. Evaluate King and Gandhi based on what they achieved. The fact that their economic beliefs were partially formed (they probably had their hands full with other things) or different from yours, etc., really shouldn't matter because they were not economists to begin with.

mostly i like "rocks" because it's what everyone under 50 now refers to their "ballz" as ("testicles" for those over 60)

What do you know about ballz? So I guess that leaves us a whole decade between 50 and 60. I wonder what they call their testosities. Maybe we need three different currencies (rocks, ballz, and nutsacks/swampnuts/bollocks/cojones/noisewaters/testuhcleez?).

But maybe you have it all wrong, junior, since the phrase 'get (one's) rocks off)' has been around since long before I played my first computer game.

I see no need to make changes. Fav is doing an excellent job.

This thread has gone to shite. What are you guys, like 12 or 13 years old? The more crud you post, the more of it Cob has to read through and the less time he has for this product. Stick to his request, which was to offer useful suggestions. Here's another:

We have this discussion every year at this time. It's a good ploy for them to get some users on their site.

@Freebieservers thanks for the candid input.  However i (somewhat) disagree with the analogy of facebook on this one.  Faction tokens or other tokens that show someone was at a certai ace at a certain time, or worked on a specific project can carry value simply by marking people of value for specific reasons that may become valuable to others in the future.

we are working in an area where there are MANY use cases that have yet to be uncovered and ig oring those usecases is ignoring the possibility that something little will become big.

Id bet if michael jordan created a token (or basketball card) in his early days of basketball most people who knew his early coach woukd have said "this token has no value!"  well they would have tirned out to be idiots.  And it only takes one michael jordan (underdog) to change everything...

cutting our most innovative and creative community members' heads off before they even get a chance to TRY to build value--simy because others say its not valuable is  is a move not to take lightly...

Fuzzy, I'm not into cutting anybody off. Nowhere in my post did I mention anything like this. 6-12 months from now, everyone will come to the same conclusion, which was that we wasted time and resources on crapcoins when we could have promoted our top products and achieved some traction in the marketplace. How would we do so now? By ignoring the crapcoins and hoping they go away, tipping instead in BTS, USD, GOLD, and the things that count, currencies/assets that we as a community want to introduce to people.

When you build a building, you don't make it a mile wide; you lay some strong pillars and build upon them. If you wish, add to it later, once it's standing tall and strong. For the record, I think Freebie's post is EXCELLENT, every word of it. That post is REALLY well written.
