98% of the UIAs are crap. I think we need to recognize that, recognize that it takes more than a few friends to develop your UIA's economy of scale, and focus instead on the few currencies/assets that we want to build up and market. Dividing our efforts into all these different useless UIAs is not going to make the system stronger. If we want to grow, let's identify our strongest suits and push those hard.

I was (at least half) joking about banning CRAPCOIN. I like the honesty it brings. It shows us exactly what we get with most of these UIAs and the forum tips.

Welcome to the BitShares Forum - a place for could be, would be and should be, plus a heavy dose of Fuzzy's undeserved ego. Fuzz - rub something in my face when you contribute something that actually gains some network effect. This forum is dying a slow death.

If Tonyk had any more Greenies to tip with, I'll bet you just earned one.  ;)

Personally, I don't think all that fuzzy does is useful, but some of his work certainly is. One thing I've never picked up from listening to his shows or reading his posts is ego. Seems like a mostly humble guy.

Is there a way to tip without posting a message (plus the bot's follow up) in the forum? Is there a way to do it by PM, for instance?

In its present form, this is causing a lot of spam. I do want to have a bot for Reddit, Twitter, and FB, etc., but what it does to the forum is more trouble than it's worth.

This idea saves forum members countless hours of digging through and evaluating all these ideas. Well, we still need to research them and be convinced, but this is a great idea to use the system you have created to achieve consensus from the market itself. May the best products (and smartest sellers) win.

Community + Market = Community Market

I think they had to wait for Graphene. The wallet came out pretty quickly thereafter. Per cob's timeline, a lot of stuff is scheduled to start happening in the next month or two.

I move to ban @CRAPCOIN from the forum. It's crapping on every thread.

No, only of the issuer of CRAPCOIN set the core exchange rate to 1,000,000 BTS/CRAP...

Exactly. And how many crapcoin-type tips have you seen on here? About 100? Nearly everyone's wallet now has a bunch of junk in it, which means that the cumulative value in the top right hand corner of your wallet is completely fictional.

Not a matter of censorship, just cleaning up the conversation and keeping things civil. He was just posting hateful profanity and blindly venting his frustrations. It had been months since he'd added any value to the conversation. If he'd said anything useful (even if I'd disagreed with it), then I also would have argued to keep him on. That was not the case.

He'll be back, but for now, good riddance.

nothing interesting here...

sorry, but after all the "big" news nothing happened, the launch was a mess and not one major exchange has MUSE listed.

"bla bla bla bla"...

Getting the word out is an ongoing project. Considering the service hasn't even launched yet, your bla-bla'ing is quite premature.

Is peertracks about to end like ltcgear.com?

MUSE and PeerTracks are about to explode the market, my friend.

A split personality does not qualify you for more than one membership. This rule is necessary to maintain the secrecy over Bytemaster's second identify and the 1.1 million Bitcoins he secretly controls.

I'm just frustrated by the lack of progress on so many fronts for so long. The vision is good but the execution is a very mixed bag.

I always love Stan's wit, but Thom's words are 100% correct. We don't need the next experimental idea. We need execution.
