Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Legal Council about BTS and No-action
« on: February 08, 2018, 07:39:53 pm »
Appears the SEC letter is the issue here.  @xeroc what about splitting apart the worker and going for the legal opinion letter now and hashing out the SEC letter later on?

Looks like Abit knocked that out in no time flat, nice having response developers!  Looks like they are on a monthly release schedule for core so well need to wait for March.

What's holding people back from voting on this?  The worker should provide real world businesses with assurance they will not run into legal issues utilizing the bts blockchain?!

@bitcrab What is the feeling on your side of the world for this worker?

We need this to get back onto exchanges such as Bittrex who is trying to be as legitimate as possible!

We need to convince the witnesses to start publishing price feeds for this along with others such as bitOIL, bitEOS, bitStockmarket etc...  Liquidity will not arrive if there is no market to play in.

@crypto4ever does bring up good points about the SEC letter.  Could some of the funds be used for a second opinion on the SEC letter?

I'd like to hear what some of the large proxies such as @bitcrab have to say as I do not see their votes?

Technical Support / Re: HELP: ETH has not shown up in Bitshares Acct

Did you check an ETH explorer verifying the transaction was broadcasted?

What gateway service did you use?  OpenLedger, Blocktrades, GDEX etc...?

Still Nothing.... :/

Open a support ticket with OpenLedger, I'm sure they will respond and take care of any issue asap.

With the recent hack of coincheck is there any reason not to issue additional bitASSETS beyond bitBTC?

There are reasons to issue them, but creating an asset is not enough to make it useful. Look at bitBTC. This asset makes a perfect sense, but liquidity ...

Bitshares has just began to revive it's luster for the last 6 months, liquidity has been ever increasing.  Do we have anything to lose by issuing a handful more?

@CoinHoarder I agree on offering index funds just like bitTWENTY.  How do we even get this started, create a BSIP?  Is this something the foundation @xeroc  can assist with organizing all of the communities requests?

In the above document, it says "The received funds will be held in escrow by the Bitshares Foundation, and released at successful delivery of milestones." but in the original post in this thread it states "The received funds will be held in escrow in a 3 of 5 multisig account controlled by @MarkoPaasila, @cryptokong, @Permie, @Kimchiking, and @Cryptick The escrow will exchange the funds to bitUSD and return all excess BTS to the pool, as explained in http://www.bitshares.foundation/worker/ (Under Escrow Worker Model)."

@MarkoPaasila any clarification on this?  Perhaps this is a reason why it's not voted in along with the high 6600/bts a day being asked for even if it is returned to the system later on.
