General Discussion / Re: Poloniex under Ddoss atack

Be careful.  While they probably couldn't pull the network down, an attacker could attack all of our api servers pretty easily.  This would not be a good user experience.

looks like the new version still isn't uploaded.  You can fix it pretty easily though.  In the upper right hand corner there is an option "gear looking icon" just to the left of the help button.  Click that gear.  You will see a line called faucet address and you will see http://bitshares.openledger.info listed there.  Change that line to https://bitshares.openledger.info and you should be able to create an account.  You just need to change the http:// to https://

If that doesn't work then let me know and we will try to figure out what is going on.

You can try changing the api source for your wallet.  Just click the options button, and then click the wss://bitshares.openledger.info/ws and select one of the other two servers.  Theres one from dacplay, and one that I run as a backup.

I have also noticed that when I am using some of my accounts the wallet is much less responsive.  Its beyond my technical ability to solve, but I suppose I should compile a list of what accounts seem to cause the wallet to slow down.

sweet, thank you very much! ideally, whatever was slowing down the other connection could be fixed, but the change works well for me now. appreciate the help!

"wss://bitshares.openledger.info/ws"   is still working slow/not usable, using "wss://dele-puppy.com/ws" is o.k.

Thank you puppies for this service.  Sent some support.
Thanks dude.

trust sent 5,432,100 BTS to poloniexwallet

The account is empty now.

As a result, @xeroc's and @roadscape's workers are voted out.
well now that trust is empty we can finally rise a bit.

The first I heard of it was 2 days ago https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21761.0.html It seems to be an intermittent issue, and I think SVK has already fixed the code, so the fix should be in the next version of the wallet.

Have them check the faucet url under settings and make sure it's set to https and not http

I love it.  Bravo to whoever is behind it.  I think whoever it is should use the #cryptorapbattle tag.

I guess it is to be expected that we would retrace.  We went up far further than I expected far faster than I expected.  How long do you all think we are going to slip back down?

Any thoughts from the traders on what caused that crash?  Looks like someone covered a massive short afterwards.

How secure is Poloniex?  They have a lot of BTC and BTS there, would be a shame if something happened...

The precise moment I read this comment I pictured you like this

I thought the same thing, but I was thinking more a mob boss.

I believe this is a volume record for BTS.

Combined with a huge price rise, that is a bull market sign.
Seems like we should pass fct volume soon.  Then we will pass them in market cap.

what a difference 17 hours makes.  Please don't go all margin long all in now people.  This could turn against us just as quickly.

I saw the lending like that one time during our pre-2.0 rally.

This is great, finally some respect.

Azure was really a big deal apparently.

Fucking A it was.  I am stoked on this and I am a tiny tiny fish.  Some of our whales have made some good money today.

I'm confused ...

so does this mean that Preston was wrong ?

*link*
Or does this mean that Microsoft doesn't understand math?

Can we stop linking that crap?  We only help the jerk face get more views when we link to it.

The more backlinks, the more search engines will elevate preston's article in search results. Best to avoid posting a working link....

sorry for derailing, but changing to hxxp will work to prevent it from linking right?
