BTS looks primed for a spike up in price +1000 sat. Soonish.

I'm feeling pretty good about bitshares these days. Long term, the platform seems like it is destined to succeed. It just needs critical mass. Maybe bitshares will ride to glory on Steemit's coattails. Or maybe the Bitfinex heist will push traders to openledger. Just a matter of time.

MAID PRICE PREDICTION

The long term downtrend that started on March 3 is still intact and the short term uptrend that started on June 14 is now negated.  I'm thinking MAID has until Sunday to break out of the long term downtrend. If not, price will drop hard.

A strong surge above 11222 will signal a rally.

MKRCOIN can be exchanged into MKR in the MKRCOIN:MKR market ..
Then you can keep MKR, or trade to ETH or BTC ..
you can find all markets in the block explorer -> markets -> find market
Check this page: https://cryptofresh.com/a/MKR

Markets for MKRCOIN are awfully thin.

Why the big price spike in BTS this morning? And why on earth did PTS spike over 200% yesterday? (scratching head) :o

Wavestalk launched:
https://wavestalk.org

Lots of Bids at and below the ICO price, while the Ask landscape seems pretty thin: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-WAVES

Pretty boring trading activity at bittrex. It should get more interesting after Polo trading starts.

From the FAQ at wavestalk:
Q: What is the difference between Waves and BitShares/OpenLedger?

A: BitShares differs from Waves in two fundamental ways. First, its consensus algorithm is DPoS, meaning that only a limited number of ‘delegates’ have the power to validate blockchain transactions, as opposed to the PoS consensus where every full node is able to do it. This means that the Waves platform supports full decentralisation. The second difference is the feasibility of OpenLedger’s ‘market peg’ for its fiat assets. This is of course open to discussion, but it is doubtful that any bank or large corporation will ever be happy to trust their money to such an approach.
All current coloured coins implementations have severe limitations. Bitcoin blockchain-based tokens are restricted by the 10-minute confirmation times. In Ethereum, it’s quite difficult to create a decentralised exchange. OpenLedger is a web-interface to BitShares blockchain; it is not a coloured coins protocol.
Waves is focused specifically on custom blockchain tokens. We want to do for blockchain tokens what Ethereum is doing for Bitcoin scripting – develop and perfect it.

yadda yadda

werneo what do you see for eth now

You have probably already figured this out after the DAO fiasco, but at this point ETH has crossed into a full on bear market. It's possible you could see some short term upside to .019 or even .020, but longer term I think we're headed for sub-.010s. Maybe as low as .006 or even lower. Suffice to say I'm shorting it for now.

An important moment for the price of BTS. If the swan dives,  the fall could be (far) beyond anyone's worst expectations.  It's worth noting the BTC volcano is rumbling again this week, and if it blows, all the alts will drop, bitcoin will inflate, and bts could post the mother of all ATLs.

On the other hand,  maybe the low 700s is the bottom and it's clear sailing from here.   ;)

I've been bullish on BTC due to the halving. It will be able to support a much higher price on the same level of demand and the market will start pricing some of that in.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it test $1000 before the halving.

http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com

(Edit: It can't support anywhere close to 6000 though even with only 4% inflation :) )

Don't forget the transaction cap of 1 megabyte per block. Bitcoin transactions capacity maxed out for the first last month, and block times slowed to over 40 minutes. Another bitcoin bull market could cause transaction confirmation times to balloon to an hour if not more.

Ironically, a new mega bull could provoke a crisis. Then it's fork or die.

sit back and watch as we witness the second coming of the bitcoin bubble, one which could make the previous all time highs in the digital currency, seems like a low (point)
