Well he continues to be right... But all u guys do is patronize him because he is proving you wrong.  He hasn't said anything rude or mean to anyone, yet you act like whiney kids and personally attack him.  Guarantee none of you would act like this if he was saying buy.  It's really embarrassing and you guys are the ones who warrant a block, not blazin.

No, he screams pump pump after he sees a few green candles and then the opposite at a few red candles. Where were you when he was talking about buying 200btc+ worth of BTS a few days ago ? Taking advice from a guppy bagholder that was pumping various scams on bitcointalk is not the way to go, even if he's right at this particular time.

Yup. As I mentioned days ago, the uptrend ended at 3k. Now it's down for a while. 1900 is a good guess. This guy has not been wrong yet. Too much religion around here.

when will the official version of 0.9.3 be released? Right now it's billed as a pre-release.

I think we'll see a dump "correction" soonTM which will take us between 2600-2400 and then back up until 2.0 release for the major dump correction you mention.

I dont think this is happening.  Don't let BTS buck you off, stay with the trend!

We got a correction from 3100 to just under 2800 already, that was the correction.

There seems to be resistance at the ~3100 level. That could portend a brief correction. I will buy again if the 3150 level is breached in earnest, otherwise I will wait to catch the dip.

So many fees wasted with this much volume on exchanges.

btw, anyone knows where we can get charts like bitcoinwisdom but for BTS and in real time? Without the lag of coinmarketcap?

Simple question: will vested bts continue to be collected in version 2.0? If so, is the procedure the same? eg: wallet_collect_vested_balances username

back to 2k sats soon. then rise again.[/i]

This could be true, but I wouldnt try to trade it.  The risk right now is to be left behind.

Long hodlers and speculators are mixed up in the crowd of buyers. Speculators will sell at a price that suits them, and then the price will drop. Investors will eventually push the price to new highs, but not without plenty of ups and downs along the way.  ;)

It would be nice to have a screencast video showing exactly how to migrate from v0.9x to v2.0

IDentabit / Re: Identabit Hangout w/ John Underwood
« on: September 02, 2015, 05:31:51 pm »
This was a terrific hangout. John Underwood is wonderfully thoughtful, expert and articulate. He's an amazing partner for BitShares.

I just have one constructive criticism about the format. Fuzzy, I hope you take this the right way. I greatly appreciate your contribution to BitShares and I completely acknowledge the importance of your efforts with Beyond Bitcoin. But I think it's essential for you as the MC of Beyond Bitcoin to understand the difference between a conversation and an interview. Listening to the show, I felt that you interrupted your guest multiple times and derailed his train of thought unnecessarily. Mr. Underwood is a captivating speaker and I was on the edge of my seat listening to his every word. It was very frustrating to hear the interviewer stepping on his guest and inserting lots of verbiage that was not always welcome.

Again, fuzzy, I greatly appreciate you and I don't want you to feel like I am raining on anything you are doing. You are an essential part of this project, and I totally respect your efforts. I just wanted to get this off my chest and maybe at least start a dialog about it. This is something I have noted in the past in your weekly shows with Dan. But IMO the show with John Underwood really illustrates the problem and hopefully you will listen to the show yourself when you get a chance, and you might hear what I am talking about.

I copied the chain folder to my laptop and it worked perfectly. Saved a lot of download time!

Thanks for your help.

I installed my wallet on my laptop, so now I have the wallet on two different PCs.

The wallet is synced and working fine on my desktop PC, but I am having a hard time getting the laptop wallet to sync up properly.

Question #1: is it possible to simply copy the chain folder from my desktop PC and drop it into the BitShares folder on my laptop? It seems like that would solve the problem of downloading the entire chain over the network.

Question #2: can I have the two wallets (each on a different computer) running simultaneously, or will that cause confusion on the bitshares network?

General Discussion / Re: Another Sharedrop???

The announcement of Identabit sharedropping on Brownie has caused the largest BTS price decline since 'the merger'. :P

I'm taking it as an opportunity to accumulate more.

I have been trying to sync my bts wallet to the network for days. Whenever I do, I get the "severe network problems" line at the bottom of the wallet browser, and it keeps counting up. I have the latest version of the wallet. Anyone else having this problem? I just updated to windows 10, so I wonder if there is a connection?

In order to help please type info in console and post it here.

>> get_info

Looks like your client at fork and can’t back to main chain. You can try re-index, but I suggest you to resync, delete all files and folders from %APPDATA%\BitShares except walltes folder and run client again. Resync will take same time as re-index. Before doing anything please make backup of your wallet from BitShares client and copy wallets folder to safe place.

There is a folder called "chain" in APPDATA/BitShares directory. When I try to delete that folder, I get: "Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable". I am unable to delete the folder.

Any thoughts?

Run "Check Disk", you can do it from command line by command:
Code: [Select]
chkdsk c: /f
It's will ask you if you wish to do it during next restart, answer Yes, and reboot your computer. During boot check disk will run.

Running A Command Prompt As Administrator (Vista or 7)

Thanks guys. That worked. I was able to delete the old data, and reloaded the entire blockchain over the last day. Now everything is up to date.

Cheers!
