Stakeholder Proposals / Re: BitSuperLab please fix your feeds
« on: March 16, 2015, 01:20:08 pm »
One more fairly obvious item you should add to the list is:

Always multiply your published price by a random number that is close to 1; maybe within a quarter percent of one. It's an easy step that makes the price feed that much less predictable and improves security against precision market manipulation.
Really? And this totally screws with ppl dependant on accurate feeds
the error introduced is averaged out over time ... I think it's a good idea .. if you chose a spread of .. say 0.1% or so ..

As a business that will accept bit assets this is a awful idea.

I think we would be better served adding a 100% pay delegate and paying for feeds. Their are entire businesses who only have one product and that's providing feeds. It will give us a more accurate, dependable  feed for every

market that we currently have running.

Any chance you will provide a btc to bitsilver/bitgold pairing?
Yes, we'll be adding it fairly soon.

the biggest problem is the liquidity. We need some market maker to finish this.

I talked to them awhile back and xiahui is correct. We simply don't have enough liquidity for people to get in and out.

General Discussion / Re: When BitGOLD takes the world by storm...
« on: March 07, 2015, 01:22:08 pm »
Yeah there is always lots of gold smuggling going on but these people want the physical form, I don't think bitGOLD appeals to them much, rather I see bitGOLDs biggest potential with the average joes like myself that just want easy exposure to the price.

You're forgetting about the bitSILVER and bitGOLD to gold and silver coin offramps that are being set up as we speak.

I'm not, these places still need physical form though right? From that blog BM posted about it I got the impression one day you could go into a pawn shop for example and trade bitGOLD to real gold and vice versa, so say this pawn shop was in Bangladesh and they are short of physical form they might try smuggle it in. Maybe I'm just being dumb, its 5am :/

He is referring to http://cryptosmith.info/index.php which lets you take bitsilver and bitgold and redeem it for its physical counterpart.  Under construction

1. AK should show up and at least give a update. No one wants a Brian 2.0
I believe, AK is already updating us through the PR Spokesman guy - the gagmaster. I think that the fact that you cannot hear him is partially your fault.  :)
Just get used to the Spokesman signature PR move...called 'I have never and will never say a word."

Your right it would be insane to think their was some kind of middle ground.

Because I support PR means I think we should silence everyone, in fact I can't believe we have a forum. Also while we are at it any groups larger then 2 should request a permit from the head party office.

If the best that the Chinese marketing and PR (head/spokesman) can come up with is an UIA like this....we are in deep deep shit.
(As the western side of that department is a sink hole at best, as we all must know by now)

It may be worth looking into WHO is backing Dacx ;D

where can we signup for the play news letter?

Where should we be going for updates? Here or somewhere else?

I checked http://peertracks.com/ but it doesn't provide any updates.

Found this video interesting only 7 mins and explains why it may be worth renouncing your citizenship and how much it could cost you.

Born into debt would probably be a better title.

General Discussion / Re: bitUSD Mining is now live!
« on: March 04, 2015, 02:44:30 pm »

Is there an option, or any plans to have a pool option to payout in BitShares, instead of BitUSD?  I realize the BitUSD can be sold for BitShares, but if you're converting BitShares into BitUSD for paying the miners, it's likely some would prefer to not have it converted and remain as BTS.

It is something I'm exploring in potential partnership with the likes of metaexchange. Miners could use the password field in the stratum protocol to specify how they would like to be paid... i.e. BTS, BitUSD, BitSilver etc...
+5% love Love LOVE this idea!

Using crypto miners to mine physical gold and silver....... +5%

Sounds very interesting but 50k is a lot of money! How many of those 50k investments do you think you'll need? I suppose you need fiat money rather than Bitshares/bitAssets?

BTS/Assets/crypto its all they same at this level it would just be converted to fiat.

I think this is great, but I dont understand all the secrecy surrounding this. Maybe you cant share everything, but i think the vast majority of the details should be available for debate in this public forum.

We have a tendency to talk more than the Golden Girls on this forum.  I like the fact that Gentso is taking action and willing to discuss implementation if serious investors are willing to back it.
+5% .. fully agree
+5% and what I am trying to avoid. I ran my delegate and promised no secret sauce, just the facts.

Obviously,  +5%
Is there a reason for the 50k limit?
Less investor's make management much easier and practical. Theirs alot of regulation that is associated with this.
