I think this is great, but I dont understand all the secrecy surrounding this. Maybe you cant share everything, but i think the vast majority of the details should be available for debate in this public forum.

We have a tendency to talk more than the Golden Girls on this forum.  I like the fact that Gentso is taking action and willing to discuss implementation if serious investors are willing to back it.
+5% .. fully agree
+5% and what I am trying to avoid. I ran my delegate and promised no secret sauce, just the facts.

Can you be a little more specific how far along you are or where exactly the 50k is going towards?  50k PER investor sounds high for this project unless additional licensing and business unit creations are required.

-Relationships with banks - check
-dev and legel team - check
-"...created the infrastructure for a Fiat Gateway for Bitshares." Is the software back-end completed and tested?
-"...partnered with a central European bank."  Is the bank headquartered in the EU or just a branch within the EU?

I can but this would all be done with each potential investor that we believe to actually have the funding that is being sought.

Please give me a PM if you have and serious inquiries and would like to be considered a potential investor.

Excellent work! How are you not voted in yet!?

Sadly I have not yet but if you like what you see please vote https://bitsharesblocks.com/delegate/info?name=delegate.verbaltech

It should be noted that my delegate has nothing to do with the exchange other then the fact it was a business development  and thus I brought it here.

We are a team of crypto-enthusiasts that have been working on solving one of the biggest problems facing mass-adoption of the blockchain: entry barriers. The absolute largest hurdle to gaining a steady stream of new users is the lack of a fiat-gateway and so this is the one problem that we have set out to solve. Currently we are partnered with a central European bank that will enable instant deposits and withdrawals of Euros and also allow for USD deposits and withdraws via wire-transfer. Additionally we are currently in talks with banks in two other countries to create a more robust environment and enable more people to transfer funds through us instantly.

What we are offering is the greatest way to lower the entry barrier for Bitshares and enable users to buy and sell  Bitshares and BitAssets near instantly with their fiat funds. This will open up new opportunities for the entire Bitshares community and attract many new users as well as merchants.

On board we have a solid development and legal team that has created the infrastructure for a Fiat Gateway for Bitshares. We are now seeking funding to bring this platform to the Bitshares community. We are looking for investors with $50,000+ in capital ready to invest in such a project. Interested parties will be presented our entire business plan, legal documents and a preview of the exchange and past projects we have worked on as well as projected estimates of rate of return on their investment.

At this point in time I feel its important to inform everyone I am no longer apart of this project. I had a disagreement over what I see as a transparency issue with the gateway owners and we deiced to part ways.

This in no way means that it is a bad investment just that I didn't feel comfortable going forward. If anyone would like to get in touch with the owners they are still welcome to PM me and I can pass their contact info to you. Thanks.

With Bitshares lobbying itself as a bank and exchange, I personally would like to see a nice little pie chart that shows each accounts holdings and how each asset has preformed over time as well as a overall % + or - change.

This way each time I log in I can see for example first account: gentso it displays 24hr and 7day change as well as total value on the main page. I can then click on that account and see a break down of each individual asset to see whats preforming vs what isn't and adjust my holdings according.

It.. looks like a women's clothing store  :o
Ha, gentso1 said that was just place holder until the dev puts the actual content in place. The idea is to be able to off ramp with bitSilver by having physical silver drop shipped in exchange for it.

This then is not the same model as BullionVault? I am under the impression that they store the metals themselves.

We do not store the metal for user's we simply ship it to them.

The market has shown that their is no shortage of companies looking to store YOUR metal for you ;D.

This is from Bullion vaults own page for actually getting YOUR metal.

Withdrawing Gold and Silver

The vast majority of users keep their metal safely in the vault. When they sell, they receive cash in their BullionVault account which can then be withdrawn back to their bank account.

But you can also withdraw the metal. The fees vary according to the circumstances:

Gold
Where you cannot reasonably be paid safely by bank transfer we reduce our fee to just 1%, plus transport and insurance costs, regardless of the size of your withdrawal.
Where the normal bank transfer could be used, but you elect a physical withdrawal, there are 3 options:
For whole, standard 400 oz gold bars the cost is 2.5% plus insured shipping.
Smaller standard 100g bars cost about 3-5% - depending on the location they are going to. This includes shipping and insurance.
We also allow withdrawal of non-standard amounts (e.g. smaller bars) but these cost 7.5% as we have to buy these products in to meet your request. The minimum withdrawal is 50g.
Silver
We only support withdrawal of whole 1,000 oz bars of silver bullion. The fee is 10%.

BullionVault gold and silver are both VAT (sales tax) free - for as long as they are held in our vaults. Upon physical withdrawal gold remains exempt, but 20% VAT then applies on silver.

This is such a good thing that I can not even begin to put it into words.

Under this system we get to keep the actual assets within the client as well, so if a exchanged is hacked they aren't holding bitgold, they are holding IOU bitgold-correct?

The current protocol does NOT allow infinite inflation ... the delegate pay halves ever 4 years IIRC ..

However .. stakeholdera could agree on a hard fork in the future and change the protocol .
Though there is no consensus about the required approval percentage for hard forks ..

This statement just further's the case that we need some kind of in client voting.

Fantastic work. It's great to see this moving forward out of concept and into construction.

Will the Bitshares login support the light client?

The feedback I am getting from the web dev is yes

89
Really cool, congrats

Agreed  +5%

Once we have launched I will began announcing this on a larger scale, to promote the site and Bitshares as a whole. We want to test the site within the community and make sure the user experience is up to par before promoting it

to new users. This will allow everyone to see the best of what Bitshares has to offer.

Remeber if you like what you are seeing please support https://bitsharesblocks.com/delegates/delegate?name=delegate.verbaltech your support is the foundation of not only cryptosmith.info 's success but allows us to

continue other  projects that we have in the works, thank you

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Business development delegate

gentso-biz-dev.poweredby-thom ?

hehe

When you say it like that delegate.verbaltech just rolls off the tongue.
haha true. what bitshares needs is a name plus a little subtitle discription for delegates!!

I think this is a great idea.

Their has been a point of suggesting the delegates work in a pairs  or as members of a team. It would be nice if, at the very least we could link our accounts to a delegate in order to show team members. Even better would be if their was a little about me button where a delegate could do a quick 2 line write up on what they hope to do for the community.
