Set up your wallet as Getwork RPC Server (you need to configure rpcuser, rpcpass, rpcport and other params) and poing yam to it by specifying correct params in mine URI (look at URI format in readme.txt). This shall work.

I've found some blocks on ypool and think that I might do OK without a pool. I have a lot of CPU power.

According yam-yvg1900-M7k readme the getwork protocol supported only for MemoryCoin and not for ProtoShares.
To solo mine we need yam getwork support for ProtoShares.

YAM is for mining with a pool.  As far as I know solo mining is pretty much pointless, you will never find a block before a large pool does.

Can anyone help me solo mine protoshares? I would prefer to break away from the pools for a bit. I am having trouble connecting with YAM.
