Main reason of FUD from Chinese Community

We do have a bunch of volunteers to spread important news from English into Chinese, including myself. However, most of us are doing this based on interest, not money. Under some special situation, such like yesterday, tens of pages of replies in one day, translating all those replies is just not practical. Given the truth that the English language ability of most Chinese can not grow very fast, I think it's better for BM to choose his words more carefully when delivery important information. Anyway, any discussion or ideas proposed by BM would be considered as "possible decision", regarding the important role of BM in BTS system.

Perhaps we should have mumble hangouts SPECIFICALLY to discuss these types of things and have them at a time beneficial to the west and their eastern-based counterparts.  Then someone from the chinese community can take notes and write up a report on what was said and the general consensus at that time.

There still seems to be a much more negative attitude on the chinese forums (from the garbled Google translate).  In the English speaking section people are much more positive towards the move, I think because they are able to read each others responses and listen to the mumble talk.  The Chinese have BM original post immediately translated (great first step), but they don't get all the English speaking community comments translated too, which consists of us gradually figuring out that this is a good idea.  Unification of bitshares into one dac should make the price go up, we're talking about adding features, developers and marketers to bitshares.  A lot of the price decrease imo is due to misunderstanding.

 It would help if someone translated entire threads, because people come to understand complicated things by reading others questions and seeing them answered, like in a school class. 

We need to strengthen the community connection via much more translating of discussions imo, it makes a big difference, not just small selective translations, but entire discussions.  Responses to what may seem like 'stupid questions' are still useful because the chances are there were a bunch of people wanting to ask the stupid question and we all learn and have our understanding confirmed by all of the responses.  Also we have our confidence reassured by seeing all the different concerns + opinions vs a single translation from a lone poster (harder to trust).

Not sure of the best way to do this, an army of volunteers?  How do we select which threads to translate?  Obviously there are junk threads too not worth translating and times when there's nothing much going on and no need to

I dont know what is the reason why but as far as I am concern its part of growing pains with btsx . If I have enough funds I would readily buy btsx for they are so low. Its a bargain actually and it may never happen again once BM and etal begin to slowly add different substantial assets that that will make BTSX a premium crypto equity four to five years from now.

We talked about this on the mumble session. I think it is a bad idea of BM to reveal any information on these forums from now on, it could be taken negatively like this time around as well. It will work a lot better to do it in mumble so all the panic questions can be answered right away.

As everyone may see, the price of btsx is high diving now. As the local moderator of Chinese subforum, first of all, I want to say that most of us are still supporting BM and 3I.

However, some of our friends are indeed selling their BTSX. Part of them choose to sell, because they turn to other investment which seems more profiting in short term. The other portion, from my understanding,  is due to the cracking of their belief in BTSX. People liked BTSX, because it is a DAC and it has great potential. A DAC will always run by itself, even the dev teams abandons it, and a DAC doesn't change its consensus. However, what BM proposed in his previous a few posts are huge to its consensus. These change might be good in long term, but "inflating","diluting", those words sound very serious, and scare those guys. Anyway, they expect the change of BTSX is only about the function of wallet, not the consensus. I strongly suggest that next BM when BM announces something big which is non technical, he needs to rephrase every sentence and explain every points clearly. Actually, regarding this point, Stan can be a very good teacher, because Stan is very good at communication skills.

I think it is very important for people like you ripplexiaoshan, to explain to people in the community that "inflating","diluting" is NOT happening right now, and this is just a  'capital infusion' done the only way possible on a blockchain. And what BM is talking about   is implementing the tools, so when/if such 'capital infusion'  is needed or desired, the BTSX is ready to do it with the approval of all shareholders.

Exactly. These fears are blown wayyyyy out of proportion. The ability to infuse capital in the future to further build value is extremely important and I see it as only a good thing.

Also, I think there is a good amount of "lost in translation" going on here. Watching the markets, it seems natural that the price is stable/rising during the day (in the US), but suddenly dumps to all hell once China is awake. That looks to me like many Chinese are just entering text into Google translate, seeing the word "inflation", and panicking without realizing what's actually going on here. This is why it is so important to have a Chinese-English speaking middleman (such as yourself, ripplexiaoshan) to explain things concisely.

It's sad that many has leaved BTSX yesterday when the price reached down to their profit point,they might not even have the courage to come back in.Old people gone,new people in.That's the nature of investment,but that does not has to happen,at least not for yesterday.
