Why would you want to trademark? Is this an open, transparent and collaborative project or is this part of the dinosaur economy?

It cannot be trademarked by anyone... apparently it is too similar to Bitcoin and was declared descriptive.

Hi guys !

I would like to know, if those names Bitshares, BitsharesX  and the corresponding assets bitUSD, etc... are protected because in my point of view it is a major issue if it is not the case.

Because after that all the people involved in bitshares have build some momentum those branding could be stolen to serve other purpose.

It's a perfect job for the foundation, if there is one.
