I'm away from the office two days so I could take this opportunity to write some utilities specifically for gateways/exchanges and similar.

Last week they had concrete development questions and overall they still seem interested. But yes it appears that delivery estimates continue to be a problem all over.

Do not use this post as information for making any important decisions. The only agreements I ever make are informal and non-binding. Take the same precautions as when dealing with a compromised account, scammer, sockpuppet, etc.

I'm curious who makes official contact to exchanges?

There are a couple marketing camps and they talk however there are cases, like ShapeShift, where they were approached twice by BitShares people. They have to expect that sort of thing in this space IMHO.

@toast
they answered to a email I have sent to them (before about 1-2 weeks) and said that they would integrate our bitAssets until 20 Januar... still nothing!
Any news?

Going back and forth with their devs by email, they are actively on it. Their last estimate was "a few days".
Consider to let them run one 100% delegates

It's a done deal, with the current time frame being 2-3 weeks. No point in throwing them a delegate.

Perhaps this belongs in the stupid questions thread, but what makes bitasset integration so much harder than all of the other tokens supported by shape shift.io?

Nothing - were just newer than all of those alts that currently support.

Surely there is more to it than that. They initially said mid December at the latest. Aren't nubits new?
