You can safely move your BTS to a local wallet and be sure that BTER will honor your BTS that was in their control during the snapshot in the form of PLAY when that DAC is launched.

That's pretty much what I needed to know.  Thanks.

Anytime.  ;)

you can redeem your BTS in the BTS client using the private keys that hold BTS
you can redeem your PLAY in the PLAY client (once released) with the private keys that have held BTS at the time of the snapshot

I emailed Bter and they said they can't export user wallets/private keys because they use the same coin wallets for all accounts.  Meaning I can't import my BTS into my client with the PLAY share and I have to have my BTS in my client in order to take advantage of all the coming snapshots.   Atleast that's what I understanding. Likewise, I don't feel safe keeping funds on an exchange. Sorry if I'm aggrivating anyone.

If you held BTS on bter during the snapshot, and you have the BTSPLAY or w/e it's called, that means they will redeem the private keys when PLAY is released and credit your account. You can safely move your BTS to a local wallet and be sure that BTER will honor your BTS that was in their control during the snapshot in the form of PLAY when that DAC is launched.

Why are my BTS IOUs on Bter?
your BTS on Bter are not IOUs ... you can safely withdraw them
your PLAY are IOUs .. as the blockchain and the client have not been released yet

PLAY will have its own chain and own client ..

So I can't redeem my BTS in other DACs if i keep them in a PLAY wallet since PLAY will be its own separate network because that's what DACs are.

thats alao why you atm cannot withdraw them.from bter.. thoae are IOU on bter

I had BTS in my Bter account during the snapshot and my balance page is showing "for PlayBTS_S1".  Hence, i assume Bter will honor my BTS in PLAY.  However, does this mean i have to keep these funds on the exchange because that doesn't seem safe to me.  Thx for any help on this.

EDIT: So we have to wait for the PLAY wallet?  Is this wallet different than BTS client?  I'm confused.

On Bter they should have asked you to move the Bts in their wallet to be allocated the play shares, if you just left on the exchange i think no.
So by having them in my bter wallet I will not get credited?
Scratch my last post I just checked my bter account and I got an equal amount of btsplay to my btsx, Relieved now :)

Hello, I had shares of BTS on BTER and received an equivalent amount of PLAY shares. I also had a large amount of BTS shares in my wallet, did they count in the snapshot?? Is there something I need to do??

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, they do count.
For now you don't need to do anything. Once the PLAY chain get's released you can import your BTS keys into the PLAY wallet.

I have some bts in my bter account and they have remained there for the last few days am I entitled to bitplay or did I have to withdraw them before the 8th? sorry confused

BTER will honor the snapshot. Your PLAY allocation for what you have on BTER will show up in your accounts page once they get it sorted.

Maybe, bter need some more time.

Where can I see the play shares I've been allocated?

Can we have the link to the json file containing the allocation for each  public key, just like other snapshots did?

we are preparing for that, the block is 1217680 (Dec 8, 2014 11:59:40 PM)

Cast me some votes. I am running:
- dragonball for Bitshares 2.0 net
- delegate.fftt for PTS (DPOS) net

If someone still hasnt imported their wallet, meaning, still hasnt redeem their full bitshares (from keyID, vote, etc), will that persons till receive the full amount of PLAY? Or do I need to import first and get my full stake on the wallet in order to receive the correct amount of PLAY?

I also haven't received my BTS from Keyid/vote snapshot. How and when will I get the correct amount of BTS and PLAY I am entitled to????

Thanks!

If you have  BTS on Bter at the snapshot time, you will get the BitShares Play automatically. You do not have to do anything. Bter will help with the BitShares Play distribution.
You may check the BTS trading page for the message  https: //bter.com/trade/BTS_BTC

Can someone please advise the exact numbers to receive from Play from each of AGS,PTS,BTS?

Many thanks!

AGS and PTS have already had snapshots.

BTS will receive 35%, so you will get roughly 35%ish of your BTS since there are around 2.5 billion BTS and 2 billion PLAY. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

many tancks for your answer,
I'm going to backup my wallet, but I have a doubt... I opened two accounts but I feel that this is a useless compilcation. Backups save all the accounts or just one? I would like to erase one account. Could you tell me how can I do it?

If you've just been familiarizing yourself with the wallet, and want to clean it out and start fresh before actually transferring funds to it, you can delete the "wallets" directory in the BitShares folder I mentioned last post, or just rename it to "walletsOLD" or something and BitShares will create a fresh new one next time you start.  Let me know if you've already put funds in the wallet.  What operating system are you running?
But don't delete your wallet folder if you already sent funds to one of your account...

Hello everybody,
I am new here and I need some help.
I bought BTS on Bter a couple of weeks ago and now I have the opportunity to partecipate at the snapshot of december. What I have to do? Put the BTS in my wallet, right? I must follow the instructions of Bter and send BTS at their account btercom? Why can't I send the BTS in my account directly? How the snapshot works? Are all the BTS in all the wallets becoming PLS? I have another question about my wallet? Where the private key is? I don't dare to put the money there since I am not completely sure that I have the full control of my wallet. I know you propably don't like me because a month ago I didn't even know that Bitshares exists and now I claim to be a shareholder like you. The only thing I want to say is, Bitshares seems to me like the open door toward freedom I dreamed for 41 years.

Many thanks to everybody,
Nicola

Welcome!

Yes, you need your BTS in your BitShares wallet by the 8th to benefit from the snapshot.  Go ahead and take a few minutes to explore the BitShares wallet before you withdraw to it, and back up your wallet.  Then when you're ready to withdraw, go to https://bter.com/myaccount/withdraw/BTS and paste in your account key (to find it in the BTS wallet, click "my accounts" on the left, then click your account name, and then click the "keys" tab...), enter your passwords and amount, and submit.

The PLAY snapshot won't take your BTS, or turn your BTS into PLS, it will just give you additional PLS proportional to the amount of BTS you hold when the snapshot occurs.  When PLAY launches, you'll be able to export keys from BitShares and import them into PLAY whenever you want to claim the PLS from the snapshot.

If you're on Windows, the private keys are in your user\AppData\Roaming\BitShares\Wallets directory, and also in any backups you export as .json files.  On Linux they're in your user/.BitShares/wallets directory.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say we like you just fine.  We're all very excited about this, and unshared excitement is wasted.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

This day (8th of December) will be celebrated in my old country anyway....

Constitution Day or the Feast of Eucharius? Hereafter, it shall also be known as PLAY Day.

Looking forward to this DAC.

Celebrated as 'Play Day' more or less.

This day (8th of December) will be celebrated in my old country anyway.... but overall better solution than before ( I know the complains why BTS and not AGS/PTS and I get the argument... somewhat)

I still think it will be considered highly illogical if Apple decided to do a stock-split and included not only its shareholders but Apple product owners as well (*like how we give stake here to bitAsset holders not only to BTS holders), but after all it was BM's solution not HackFisher's.

*My main concern is the precedent we set here for the future. Imagine when we have 25 Billion of bitUSD savings accounts in the future and some future dev decides to drop on BTS.

BitShares PLAY will take snapshot on BTS chain on 2014-12-08 UTC.

The exact block on BTS which BitShares PLAY will taken is the last before 2014-12-08 12:00PM (UTC), and required to be the multiple of 10.

You need to make sure all your BTS are back in your own wallet on 2014-12-08.
Two weeks ago, BitShares PLAY announced its BTS/PTS/AGS snapshot and Allocation, for details, please take a look at:
