Backup Wallet by Account?

The only way I've found is to dump the private keys of the accounts I want to migrate and then create a new wallet and import the keys. Since they are now deterministic it works well. However most transaction history won't come along.

If I want to migrate only my main account (or couple of them) to new wallet client, is there any method to backup wallet by account?
If not, can devs consider this function?
