Valentine says there will be a total GUI overhaul in about 2 weeks. I assume issues like this and many others will be fixed.

I'm really hoping they add this soon - I've made good use of the address functionality in the metaexchange site...

fully agree with this .. infact I though this has been implemented back in the days when we had to add "contacts" for pubkeys .. though you had to enter pubkeys not addresses .. should be easy to do ..

maybe open a feature request ticket at https://github.com/bitshares/web_wallet/

It would be good to have the GUI wallet automatically understand when you paste a BTS address into the 'To' field that you want to send to a BTS address.

Any idea when this will work?

I know I can use the CLI, but for end users, this isn't a brilliant option.
