Three issues:

1. Strange event just now.. the Linux GUI came up blank.. I've seen that before.. attached first image. I had to prompt it by trying to goto exchange and back to dashboard before it responded and only exiting and returning did it show accounts normally. Obviously, that's not good for new users.. it needs to be explicit what is happening, if some delay is necessary.

2. A message popped up that I'd received 1000 DVS from one of my accounts, which is a transaction I'd not made.. that transaction popup suggested an odd memo that looked like bad character encoding and no legible Western or Unicode that I could make sense of. That disappeared before I thought to take screenshots and I can't find any transaction detail now. It's not on the balances so I guess was a spoof.

However there is now suggestion of JSON errors.. "Unterminated String" and the count of those jumped from 3; 5; to 10, as I was trying to read them.. see second screenshot snip bottom left, that notification doesn't expand to show details; so perhaps there is a problem there that spawned the additional JSON parse errors.. but what caused the original, I can only guess was that odd transaction, as if it was malformed or spoofed.. or there an error where string is not unterminated but source of that unclear.

3. Third issue perhaps is trivial but the quality of the robot images on the DVS dashboard appears to have dropped badly since ~0.6.0.. see third image attached which I've simply made 200% to show the quality more clearly.

Edit: Error in terminal from above DVS issue was
QObject::startTimer: Timers can only be used with threads started with QThread
QApplication: Object event filter cannot be in a different thread.
QApplication: Object event filter cannot be in a different thread.
..with many instances of that last line.

Also, unrelated BTS 0.6.0 was just being slow to start with error in terminal:
QXcbWindow: Unhandled client message: "_GTK_LOAD_ICONTHEMES"

Just started DevShares gui on windows.
But it opened without asking for a password, at the same time I wasn't connected to the network.

After 30 secs, the login window showed up, and everything worked fine.

Not sure if this is a potential security threat

For some reason my 0.6.3 DVS windows gui client can not be unlocked, I'm sure the password is correct, but when I click on unlock, nothing happens, no error or anything. I tried deleting my "chain" folder re-download blockchain, and it didn't help. I'm running it on windows 7 64bit with 4GB ram. Also this only happened since yesterday, but I've had this client for several weeks, and it was working previously, I didn't change anything with the client, but I did have a unscheduled sudden reboot just before yesterday.

Yep .. DVS are all unlocked ... IIRC there was a hickup in the code that made the vested balance be claimable after 2 weeks instead of 2 years .. but that's just for DVS!

Have you tried unlocking using the CLI version?

It's possible to run CLI on windows?

I backed up my wallet using the command
"backupwallet"
and it created a 75 MB file...
when I tried to import it to a new wallet I received this message:

"Failed to restore wallet backup. Your original wallet has been restored. Error: Assert Exception (10)
converter_itr != _converters.end(): "

any suggestions? @vikram

edit:

I tried the same with command
wallet_backup_create
and then
wallet_backup_restore
from the cli and these are the errors output:

(wallet closed) >>> wallet_backup_restore
json_filename: dvs260314.json
wallet_name: default
imported_wallet_passphrase:
10 assert_exception: Assert Exception
converter_itr != _converters.end():
