Number of Transactions in Bitshares

One of our testnets achieved 60 tps (IIRC) .. some people would like to run a benchmark on the devshares network to check out the limits ..

Is there an upper limit on the number of transactions that can be processed in a block in Bitshares? In bitcoin, there is a limit of 7 transactions per second, and while that is subject to change, clearly we know that cannot compete against major financial institutions. Does Bitshares have a limit on the number of transactions it can process in a block?
