What is the benefit of having Trade.BTC over BitBTC?

Also, I'm glad that Dan N. is putting those vanity username squats to good use :P

It requires trust but can handle more demands easily.

Maybe for the cream of the crop (say five or six good ones), but most altcoins are such crud. As with altcoin exchanges, this becomes a very risky and volatile business.

IMO we need gateways that connect our decentralized exchange and altcoins. So, the gateways receive altcoins (e.g. DRK) and issue the same amount of IOU (say, GATEDRK). Just my 2 cents...
