I doubt most of the coinbase people even have us on their radar.

We didnt invent the concept of referral programs.  They are just using a time honored marketing strategy.

This only proves a company who got $75M in funding, has 2.400.000 users, 3.100.000 wallets, 40.000 merchants and 7.000 apps (according to this https://www.coinbase.com/about), and a volume of $ 4,529,640 as of time of this writing, sees our model as viable. Now think about it

this. if someone comes up and accuses of us pyramid scam stuff, we can just refer to coinbase doing it as well. just on a centralized level

Well, depends on how you see it. Coinbase is good for a quick buck, while BitShares is better in the long run and seems better for businesses with a great user database I guess.

agreed! i don't plan on trying to make any money on the coinbase program, just happy to see any/all incentives to get more people into crypto. the more people who buy BTC will ultimately mean more capital flowing into BTS.
