I don't think it's a good Idea to publish a pre-release announcement there ... But definitely we should have a post @launch ..

Bitshares 2.0 is nearing release and Slashdot is a king maker in technology.

Bitcoin has been on Slashdot many times and a lot of people discovered Bitcoin through Slashdot.
