For the record, sumantso was initially discussing

Dec.14,2014BTS_S2

as shown in BTER balance, and reflects the number of bitshares in your BTER account the day of the merger snapshot. BTER did this because they stated that they would honor the snapshot, and therefore provide users with the vested shares that correspond to the Dec.14,2014BTS_S2 balance.

To date, BTER has not released any of the vested shares that correspond to the Dec.14,2014BTS_S2 balance.

Isn't the Dec. 14,2014BTS_S2 the "Sparkles" snapshot?

Isn't Sparkles dead?
You are probably right, sorry for the misinformation.

@sumantso thanks you for efforts  +5% I like idea of starting 2.0 without vesting but it's changing the rules again and I don't think community will like it.

Removing vesting would just cause a couple hundred million of the remaining vesting BTS to be insta-dumped, probably taking the price so low that 90% of those that remain would give up.  Not a good idea I think.

There's been so many share drops that I've lost track. In bter, is the Play_BTS_S1 still relevant? It's listed on top of the BTS_S2.

I know it is hard to remember because it has been awhile. I have close to the same number for both, so they must have happened almost at the same time. They represent the PLAY shares we are supposed to get from BTER whenever that happens. based on whatever the conversion of BTS to PLAY was - the Play_BTS_S1 is the number of BTS you had in your account on the day of the snapshot.

Here is a new conspiracy theory for you:  maybe bter has been cashing everyone's vested BTS balances from all that PTS all along, and then dumping it at btc38 to try to recover the money they lost.

Interesting. Anyone has any idea on how to check this? Maybe just checking vested balances associated with BTS/PTS deposit addresses?
if we know the bter addresses we should be able to check if the funds have been withdrawn.

Did anyone ever check the cryptsy addresses?  I wonder of those pts have ever been claimed.

Sounds entirely plausible.

To check your original vesting balances in the console the command now is:

Code: [Select]
wallet_account_vesting_balances <account>

Also works with "vesting" alias:
Code: [Select]
vesting <account_name>

There is no penalty for claiming vesting BTS early.
Do not use this post as information for making any important decisions. The only agreements I ever make are informal and non-binding. Take the same precautions as when dealing with a compromised account, scammer, sockpuppet, etc.

Thanks sumantso for your efforts, I had a good chunk on BTER back then so that I should get vesting shares; if you get them to release some of the vested shares that would be great.
