Check out round two https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,18249.0.html :)

It's my personal list of 100% delegates which I think are NOT COST - EFFECTIVE.

Quote
If a public discussion is not possible because one is afraid that the to be unvoted delegate may not like you anymore than that is negative for DPOS. DPOS can live without such an open public discussion too but a lot less effective.  Let's establish a culture of content focus instead of one of politics and advertisement

pls vote out chronos as delegate

http://www.bitsharesblocks.com/delegate/info?name=chronos.payroll.lafona

Yes.. the following delegates need to be voted out (disapproved) of the 101 now:

chronos.payroll.lafona
delegate.cgafeng
dev.sidhujag

Two have announced they are stepping out.. one just has shutdown their delegate without notice.

Lets get back to 100% Delegate participation!

I think we have gone over who the candidates now more than enough already... and anybody can go to http://bitsharesblocks.com/delegates and see who is below the 101 that is current that can be voted in that hasn't been voted in yet.

I am also looking for streaming, thanks Ken for the streamium idea.

+5% Definitely. I was thinking I could raise money for BitShares POS with streamium too.
Supposedly they pay you in BTC as soon as you end your stream.
I personally know the developers of Streamium, as they are Argentinians. I could bring them any proposal if there is any.

YES YES PLEASE PLEASE!
I have tried repeatedly over the last few days to contact them via their reddit accounts, email (hello@), and every name listed on their twitter account, not one reply. We need live streaming!

I even tried setting up a live feed as a test, but it keeps killing my webcam. Skype works just fine, without fail, so this has to be something to do with webrtc or their cookies, or something, I don't know: https://streamium.io/s/kencode-at-work

Using Streamium at the Expo would be MAJOR exposure for them and they should not take this lightly. The Expo will have 600 seats, around 30 different Speakers, many exhibitors and it will be broadcast live and recorded. They would make an AWESOME sponsor, not just for Streamium, but for exhibiting our support for the Bitcoin communities as well. This would be a major Case Study for them as well, showing how well their bitcoins (and hopefully soon BTS.......) for A/V streaming service is scalable. This brings major attention to BitShares, BunkerMining, PeerTracks and all the great things we're doing here, please contact them and show them the Expo document, thank you @fran2k :) +5% +5% +5%

I made this today to show you how I talk to the people.

https://youtu.be/vJVD9acIBhU

Don't be shy and browse by my delegate proposal to see more of my activities.

Recently I got ~50 million votes from 1 person (?) but have only ~5000 votes in total. Don't worry, I can do more than marketing alone.

Liondani uses the price script of Alt. This script will publish feeds once the delegate reaches the 101.

He told me that he would like to keep Alt's script for all delegates because his system runs smooth.

I don't like it and would like to see green everywhere in the sheet but liondani is the captain and I need a calm and happy captain. I hope this does not make a big difference in votes for me. Captain Jean luc, ahm marti :-D

I confirm what Martin said here  :)
As soon as he get to the first 101 active delegates his delegate will publish the feed since Alt's script is already running  ;)

@bytemaster I think Martin deserves  one active delegate place, specially now with so low market cap... It will not harm us to get him in.... It's more about the recognition of his efforts and less about "money"!
At least sent him some brownies at "martin-38ptswarrior-raum", I think the most of us agree with it (even if it's only your decision what you make with them)  :)

Have you guys ever used streamium before? I setup a stream where you can pop in on me and watch me work, hear the music I'm listening to, chat with me, etc.
My webcam keeps kicking off after 5 minutes or so though, have you guys ever tried streamium?
I need to figure this thing out, I'd love to use this during the Expo.
Maybe there is just so much activity going on that you overload the network :)

Very impressive work!
Hope somebody recorded it.

I recorded Ken introducing  a business owner to the BitShares vaccine after "Black Monday".

We have 99% delegate participation right now.

96.19% participation rate as I read it now.  Delegate bitcube has been a committed and dedicated 3% delegate with its engine and version operationally ready and up-to-date since 2014.  Unfortunately it has not been voted into 101 yet.  I would appreciate it if you could give it some love.

Please vote ACTIVE delegate bitcube into the 101 delegate and make it part of the main delegate team. :)

Edit : I should have totally spent the 30 minutes it would have taken to slap the BitShares client onto his screen in this video. But I didn't, so imagine I did. ;)

101 Update!!

d2.yunbi - Voted out of the 101!

to be replaced by:

black-widow - YADD (yet another dead delegate)

We went from a delegate that last updated at client v0.6.1 to a delegate that last updated at v0.5.0 :(

Other delegates that have been voted into the 101 in the last 24 hrs that are DEAD:

btc38.com.crypto-exchange

Other Delegates that have been missing blocks for days now:

dev.sidhujag

Meanwhile worthy/campaigning delegates who are doing good work for BitShares that are not getting voted in include:

delegate.kencode - business development and POS system for BitShares for stores to use BitShares
delegate.dposhub-org - Consensus building resource for community, delegates, and mass media to connect with the BitShares community.
delegate.verbaltech - BTSTools development with wachou and thom along with an anti-ddos network for delegates
minebts2.bunkermining-com - Development and bonus payout of MineBitShares/Bunkermining to allow miners to get paid in BitShares BitAssets to increase volume and market cap
minebts3.bunkermining-com - Additional needed to be able to get all work and bonuses to attract miners done in a timely manner
minebts4.bunkermining-com - Additional needed to be able to get all work and bonuses to attract miners done in a timely manner
minebts5.bunkermining-com - Additional needed to be able to get all work and bonuses to attract miners done in a timely manner
minebts6.bunkermining-com - Additional needed to be able to get all work and bonuses to attract miners done in a timely manner

martin-38ptswarrior-raum - doesn't include feeds with delegate - offers street marketing.

What is going on here?

Who ever is following this thread... I URGE you to push your votes to at least 3 of the above mentioned so that we have at least a fully functional 101.

I am not suggesting there are not others that need to be removed from the 101 still.. but at least get the 'deadwood' out of there.

Could this be an effort on the part of a few whales to destroy BitShares b/c those whales are shifting their investment into other projects and those projects would benefit if BitShares went away? Or perhaps the start of a hostile takeover designed to reduce the value of BitShares so much (the high stakes shareholders being the target) shares and thus power or influence over the BitShares ecosystem can be further consolidated?

If the whales are shifting their investments, How the fuck are they voting?

So if I have to guess , some guy used their long-forgotten wallet and used some fund , in the process accidentally voted with an old slate without even knowing it .

Almost certainly it was this.  This has happened before as well, when yunbi and blackwavelabs suddenly got put back in the top 101 a few months ago.

Hi all, please vote for Ken's delegate (delegate.kencode) and supoort his great work!
I can personally say, I work with him every day and Ken is currently networking with people from all over the world, famous people too, for the BTS Munich Expo.
He is also developing the BitShares POS and other Apps which will sell globally, and allow everyone to make a 99% affiliate bonus on every system you sell. This will be a major change for all of us. Ken has hired a few external coders to help him out too, I guess these are expensive too.
Unfortunately he is too busy  right now so you might not see him in the forum much. Since i work with him for  a while now i can say he is working hard behind the scenes, not less 12-16 hours every day for Bitshares, 7 days a week. Just skype him if you want to know more.

..here's a rough beta of the new site that will be selling the BitShares POS systems:

that new site will also be offering an affiliate program. so, if you link to a product in our online shop, you get 99% of the net profit on that item. real-time drop-shipped white-label UPS shipping api integrated too. what better way to get the BitShares POS systems globally distributed, right?

God this is hilarious... What a cluster fuck
Brilliant. Superb attituded. If you aren't going to do or say something constructive to help, why don't you just sit this one out? I apologise, I didn't mean that. It's just difficult to hear community members struggling without wanting to do something to help.

Yes, the client has problems which prevents many from voting. There are still many who can vote and canvassing for those votes by the community is perfectly legitimate given the situation.

I can get behind these in particular because I either work with them and receive a cut* (which means by voting for them you're helping support Hangout Transcripts) or I interact with them regarding BitShares for help or use something they've created on a daily basis. As you've said Ben, there are many more that are deserving of praise, but these in particular are the delegates I know from first hand experience are providing a valuable service to the BitShares Community on a daily basis, even weekends.

101 Update Update

More movement!

Now minebts2-3-4 have been voted in to the 101!

Minebts6 is literally just 120K away from overtaking btc38!

Trailing behind at 103 is verbaltech with mintebts5 at the 104 and kencode at the 106!

btc38 and dev.sidhujag are the only two deadwoods left in the 101.

dev.sidhujag still going strong in position 83.. down 23 spots in the last 24hrs and 54 spots in the last week!

Thank you to those who voted for our delegates!

I still urge you all to keep on voting so that those that should be in the 101 get in there and deadwoods are gone!

Wow.. exciting stuff! I feel like an announcer at the horse races. :)

What we are seeing here is that the marketcap is very low and distribution of shares highly concentrated in the hands of a very small group of people. It seems clear to me from watching these recent shifts that the shareholders causing this are Chinese shareholders. Actually the basis of that opinion come from watching trends since 1/1/2015.

Nevertheless, the only "problem" from a design standpoint is the human component, the tech is working perfectly as designed. If some idiot happens to acquire lots of BTS stake and decides to vote in ways that do not benefit the ecosystem  then swings like this are going to happen.

This current situation seems to blow the idea of the underlying game theory that says people will not vote in a way that harms the ecosystem and they will vote in favor of self interest. If those 2 things are different from each other then what? I think self interest will always win.

These are all possibilities that are totally separate from the mechanics of DPoS and completely in the realm of psychology and the human component which isn't always rational. As I've said many times before, the human element is political and potentially the Achilles heel of all crypto-currency projects.

One would hope that DPOS-HUB would make a difference via being a better, more accessible and centralized source of information about delegates / workers / witnesses, but I see little evidence that information about what delegates are doing was a factor in these shifts. There are other factors in play here that go beyond what this forum is aware of it would seem.

It's funny though most big holders I know in China are unable to open their damn wallet or afraid of missing their balance after voting .
And the bigger  voting power they have , the less they want to vote .

So if I have to guess , some guy used their long-forgotten wallet and used some fund , in the process accidentally voted with an old slate without even knowing it .

Let's build this list, make sure all parts of the Bitshares community has the opportunity to contribute, highlight the top 101 for improving the short term delegate composition, highlight the delegates that should be voted down, then make a big noise in the forum and e-mail out to all.......anyone capable of voting, please do by xx date!

We can't be sure when 2.0 is going to be released so we must make an effort to support working/value producing delegates and remove those no longer active or running up-to-date clients.

I make ever bit go a long way and even with the work I listed above I still find a way to eat and keep everybody paid. It's no easy task. Delegate pay isn't much, but even 30 bucks helps, I need every penny I can scrape together right now.

the only way to produce a move in the right direction is a major announcement across all languages to galvanise those who are able to run the client to recognise and vote in those delegates that are working hard and using the funds to bring value.

Agreed. Until I can get my delegate voted in, I have to lay off at least 2 of my guys now. These are Devs with families to feed just like me.

You were paying two devs with the funds from a single 100% delegate?  I'm not trying to be a jerk, I believe that you are adding value to the system, and have voted for you personally.  It just seems like the multiple families going without food from a single 100% delegate is a bit over the top.

Thank you @bytemaster :)

He's been getting a lot of programming work done from what I have seen behind the scenes for the API support of the merchant POS systems.
I don't have any doubts about his working for bitshares.

What ever happened here, we need to bring Ken back into the 101. He needs every support he gets so please vote for Ken's delegate.
Thank you.

Thank you @Chris4210X :)

If you are also helping us with BitShares 2.0, here is the first of a bunch of react.js apps that you can use on your sites:
http://bitshares-munich.de/demos/React-Accordion/

..the BitShares Ticker should be done by next week:
https://github.com/kenCode-de/BitShares-Ticker

..then hopefully it's on to the React Language Selector. This allows outside parties to translate all of the pages in our sites (and BitShares POS) to any language easily (so I don't have to keep doing it). Also coding this one in React.

..here's a rough beta of the site that will be selling the BitShares POS systems:
http://bitshares-munich.evennode.com

that new site will also be offering an affiliate program. so, if you link to a product in our online shop, you get 99% of the net profit on that item. real-time drop-shipped white-label UPS shipping api integrated too. what better way to get the BitShares POS systems globally distributed, right?

jquery was great, but I have upgraded almost all of our code to react.js already. So, imagine going to the checkout counter and not having to wait for more than 1 second to pay for your items. Real-time is the only way to go IMO and the BitShares POS systems will be exactly that. react.js, io.js, koa and socket.io. some images:

Please vote my delegate in --let's get 2.0 and BitShares POS done already, thank you :)

Ok let's get on this. So each Bitshares community does its best to generate a community reviewed list of delegates that are verifiably contributing in known ways. We then put a big announcement across the forum and mail shot the list out with a call to arms.
We can give a deadline for contributions to the review and a suggested date for when shareholders should vote.....like all within the next two weeks.
This action is voluntary, obviously. Simply the community acting to improve the disbursement of BTS funds to delegates before all shareholders are able to vote.

Let's try to prioritise those who are working now over those with great proposals that are waiting to be voted in.
Also, let's try not to get into a monstrous debate, everyone's efforts are valuable and appreciated but there are likely to be some no-brainers. If a delegate ends up being voted out or overlooked, there's always the potential to restate a proposal and to motivate a future change of vote. This is an interim community effort to improve the situation in the short term.

I really really want to be able to vote with my stake but I can't until 2.0 is released. It is beyond frustrating to not be able to support so many of you who are working so hard. I imagine that there are a large number of share holders who are in the same position as me.

In the short term I think the only way to produce a move in the right direction is a major announcement across all languages to galvanise those who are able to run the client to recognise and vote in those delegates that are working hard and using the funds to bring value. I realise that proposals and updates are being made by many and that tools and solutions are being built to enhance transparency and information flow between delegates and shareholders.

is it possible to integrate into BTS 2.0 that a delegate without the correct version is not given the 101 position? It is not funny that the yunbi delegates can get in, when they are just producing "nothing".

Tell me about it, I can't even afford to buy a new pair of shorts. I need some delegate pay BAD. With some delegate pay I can actually launch BitShares POS. I even setup an affiliate program so if you link to our online shop, you get 99% of the net profit from the referral.

That feature alone can give everyone here an income AND allow for global distribution of the BitShares POS systems.

Its a waste paying him at close to market rate in fiat terms.
It's quite amazing that you are able to pass such a judgement without even looking at what pc has done.
The only reasonable criterion is this: is his contribution worth the money that he has been paid?
But clearly you didn't even bother to look into his work. You just want to fire him because in your opinion he just earns too much.

.. and he burns the funds he didn't work for!!

Its a waste paying him at close to market rate in fiat terms.

He should have been voted out long ago.

He charges 50 Euro or so per hour, maybe that“s why.

I agree that he is doing a great job and always reports and burns.

50€ / h is very undervalued for a developer like PC is ... usually rates are about <= 80€/h

Is he selling those BTS to fiat? If not, then he should stop charging in fiat value.

I wonder if he will put in extra hours of work if his held BTS appreciates in value.

We got a new problem now!

We got delegates who are DEAD being voted UP while delegates who are WORKING being voted OUT!

Are they being voted for or just floating up because someone pulled the BTS that was the vote for those others. If a transaction is made from the BTS that is backing a vote, does that vote not just disappear?.. Someone buying bitUSD for example will throw their vote in that transaction? Eitherway, there's not enough people voting and frequently enough that the 101 is stable atm.. old versions and offline delegates perhaps should not even be contenders. .. and I expect everyone waiting for v2.0

They are being voted up.. you can tell from the 24hr change on bitsharesblocks.

They are not being voted up.  Click on their delegate and look at the "Ranks and Votes" tab.  Yunbi has had the same amount of votes for months.

We got a new problem now!

We got delegates who are DEAD being voted UP while delegates who are WORKING being voted OUT!

All the dead delegates are old Chinese based ones getting voted up. I can't help feeling something got lost in translation somewhere.

Anybody have any idea what is happening here? We now have delegates that are not even active in the 101. Does anybody know where all this movement is coming from?

Meanwhile my poor additional delegates to make MineBitShares grow are getting passed by all around this storm.. funds are going right into volume for BitShares.. so http://vote.bunkermining.com

I am also going to take the opportunity to remind people about delegate.dposhub-org << what we are building is going to put an end to all this craziness. Tomorrow we will be asking some very technical details about accounts in 2.0 that we need clarification in order to set permissions levels properly. We just haven't tooted our horn because we been wanting to wait till our first beta launch. Both crypto-pro and I have lost track of the countless hours put into it already. Already spent several hundred dollars on various apps and some licensing. We are confident though that this is just all kinds of awesome!

So approve delegate.dposhub-org if you are looking to end this craziness with delegate reporting. :)

If they are looking to take aim at any other delegates to down vote, how about voting out delegates not maintaining feeds?! ihashfury has attempted to bring attention to this for months.. helped bring some around.. but others still continue to ignore it.

It seems Bytemaster might have been wrong about voter apathy last week. One time I am happy he was wrong. :)

He charges 50 Euro or so per hour, maybe that“s why.

I agree that he is doing a great job and always reports and burns.

50€ / h is very undervalued for a developer like PC is ... usually rates are about <= 80€/h

what's up with kencode? all I see from him is $5 translations for some YT videos

KenCode has been doing a lot behind the sceens.

I can second that, I am sure his work will show in time and feel he does deserve some gratitude

I think it is important for any and all delegates to be able to write somewhere what has been the work of the week or something, for anyone interested to take a look. In case some things sounds like something member could in fact contribute with for maximum outsome in favour of Bitshares network, well that would have been the reason for listing this in the first place.

Some people are good in helping and assisting others which are very valuable assets in a network like Bitshares, others are very busy in the back building for the future which is instead only seen on the long haul, either way both kinds of identities need credit for Bitshares to grow and get exposed to the world, and none of them should be feeling embarassed to write all the good things they have done, even if it seems a bit egocentric, but as a delegate it is important it seems to be visible one way or the other, so that there is no doubt in anyones mind what funds are going to.

I have to say WOW at what just happened..

New to the 101 now
btc38.com.crypto-exchange <<< their client is mega old.. whats that doing there?

Yeah it is a very surprising turn of events at this stage of the experiment. Can't say I understand the voter's rationale either.

Congrads to those whose rank got better, condolences to those whose rank dropped.

You make an interesting observation tho DSN on btc38 and their rank improvement. It's no secret the Chinese seem to have a have a major stake / voice of control in BitShares, this may be evidence of where this shift originated.

I made this post months ago and still think this list is accurate for who should update or be voted out

-market.cn.group101
-sollywood.sollars-com
-dev0.nikolai
-tradbts.gulu
-media.bitscape
-www.bts-hk
-dev-metaexhange.monsterer.  Are you guys making enough money in fees to lower your delegate pay?
-media.bitscape
-fund.bitsharesbreakout
-delegate.rgcrypto
-dev.sidhujag
-dev-trial.misc.nikolai
-dev-pc.bitcube
-dacx.baozou
-provisional.bitscape
Good list.
I would leave dev-pc.bitcube in as he is actively working.
bitsharesbreakout is a trustworty custodian to distribute funds where needed imo.
Don't know about sidhujag.
But it SHOUDLD BE ON THE DELEGATES TO ACTIVELY UPDATE THE SHAREHOLDERS (pc for example does that).
Bitscape's two delegates with no delivery and no updating/justification why there is no delivery  is quite hard to justify.

Would you consider a submission to the last nullstreet release to be an update?

We tweet occasional good days of payout for MineBitShares ... but otherwise spend hours every day processing and maintaining it and getting little dev we could get done with what little we got.

I have to say WOW at what just happened..

Who should be voted out still that is teetering on the end:
dev-trial.misc.nikolai
dev0.nikolai

the dev-trial thing hasn't been updated since Jan and it never went anywhere.. and toast is working for Google now, not BitShares.

minebts2.bunkermining-com and minebts4bunkermining-com make it into the 101 for all of about 10 minutes before dropping gain.

You might want to consider a more aggressive automatic weighting for delegates that become unavailable or that do not perform against basic metrics, like upgrading. I took my BTS+DVS delegates offline a few weeks back, not that the BTS one was ever in the 101 but still I see no change on the ranking of either of those.. which is slightly odd, given that those are not responding they should loose reliability weighting faster. There might be a risk of abuse via DDOS but I expect there will need to be DDOS protection deployed on real delegates anyhow.

Relying on voting.. compelling voters to be active, always seems like  a weak link. Most BTS holders, most of the time will be busy doing more than attending to the politics of BitShares and then also voting to that.

btstools.digitalgaia delegate part of their proposal is to develop an anti-ddos solution for delegates.. their proposal outlines the method.

Recently when genso went MIA on the verbaltech delegate and Thom took it over.. I suggested working with wachou since btstools.digitalgaia was not making it into the 101 to support that worthy project. They are working together now... but look at what happened to their support! btstools.digitalgaia is now WELL into the 101 and verbaltech is now nearly out! I don't know how to interpret that, but voters seem to prefer now to have the 30% btstools.digitalgaia supported over the 100% verbaltech.

Anyhow.. just wanted to note that there is an anti-ddos solution being worked on with btstools which I fully support and have offered to help any way I can from the bunker with his work.

That's a mighty big fish!!! Me feels the waters churning  :o

Major shifts like this don't speak well for decentralization, but sometimes shakeups are required to move people out of their complacency.

Bitshares is more about shareholders' power than decentralisation.  We are seeing the action of bts in motion. A big shareholder/group of shareholders is/are expressing their votes of dissatisfaction.

I would argue a  big chunk of ppl don't vote because they don't want to deal with the client. So they are saying  screw it and waiting for 2.0, if they even care at all.

This must be the 3rd or 4th post addressing this issue. I even started a thread months ago that came to the conclusion that these guys needed to be ousted along with every delegate who refuses to update their progress. Here is my thread and even though I did and do recommend outing all 100%ers, I did agree that a few of them were doing actual work that could warrant staying. However there was a short list compiled by others if who to oust and all these names were on it: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,15497.msg199511.html#msg199511
Liquid democracy is working wonders here. You guys should ponder on why it's not working. I'll tell my thoughts: either too much of the float is controlled by such a small number of voters, or a majority of voters are related to the elected and a "don't rock the boat"/self preservation stance is being taken.

That's the only one I am associated with that I can speak too. Rest can check in with their updates. :)

Consider while you are voting out other delegates please vote in http://vote.bunkermining.com !

We been working hard every single day maintaining the pool and just been trying to save up enough so we can get more updates done. We made progress but not far enough to implement the current pool into the new updated one.

These are just proposals... Me bringing a few unproductive delegates to the attention of larger bts holders than me:

Bitscape Media delegate: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,18080.msg232042.html#msg232042

TradeBts (gulu):
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=17782.0

MineBitshares (6 (!) 100% delegates!)
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,16340.msg232666.html#msg232666

Btw, this is nothing personal... and everyone can come out debating their value in puclic...

List the one you think is not providing value anymore...

EDIT:  I have added MineBitshares to my personal list above. Why? Because it has 5 (!!) 100% delegates  in the Top 101 and 2 more 100% percent delegates at 102 and 104. I think Jonathan is a good guy with many talents but the total of 7 100% delegates we are talking about here is A LOT OF DILUTION for an unproven marketing effort! See https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,16340.msg232666.html#msg232666
Note that I asked questions first and tried to get an objective measure for effectiveness of this effort. There was no convincing answer.
