Yep, I won't market bts until there is a way to make some revenue. I'm not happy that this is still missing.

arg, spent four hours last night updating links, adding banners, and blogging on my two sites for apparently no reason. Here is to hoping the link format doesn't change in the future, then much of that effort will have been a complete waste of time. So much for capitalizing on the spike in traffic on my sites from all the recent news.

I was under the impression the referral program was going to be ready for launch.

:-\  Ya, we feel your pain. Lots of wasted effort lately.

Using the referral system at this moment seems a bit vague.

Is there a method in place for us non-wallet providers to refer a user and get some portion of the referral credit?

If so, what is/are the page(s)/website(s) we are are supposed to refer a user to?

If so, please provide an example of the exact way we should format the link with our referral code.

Thank you.

I believe there are currently some issues with the page, but that is the proper link format from my understanding (it was working earlier)

I think this is how we will craft links, but the referral system is not up and running yet. so don't use it for now

this.

I dont have a business on chain to run but I have a couple friends to sign.

At least provide a convenient mechanism where we (me and CNX) get to share the fees earned.

The Affiliate System will be available by the end of the week.

https://graphene.bitshares.org/#/create-account/?r=fav linking like that doesn't seem to work. how do you build the correct link? (should work by now, correct?)
I would assume the other way round since everything behind the "#" is NOT passed to the web server
hence:
...bitshares.org/?r=fac#/create-account

We will work out a referral program for bitshares.org that will see to it you get rewarded downstream by forwarding the r=? args to the partner sites that the user eventually selects.
Ah .. thanks for highlighing this to me .. it seem openledger.info currently does not track the r=? parameter .. I told ronny to shed light into this and this was his answer:

[19:46:43] Ronny  Boesing: and if not of course I am interested, then we just need to find out how to work it

TL;DR; this will come .. maybe not at launch though!

so a marketer has no means here until this is running, which is not what was communicated prior to today's mumble. At least not how I understood it.

also, if other marketers are ready to blow money on the launch thinking they would get refs - and they actually do it - there will be a disaster.

this is not how you attract marketers.

feel free to correct me :)
