Why are BitRex sending their funds to Poloniex?

https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/account/bittrex-deposit/overview

bittrex-deposit sent 648,313.52294 BTS to poloniexwallet

Cause someone withdrew it to polo? :)

BTW, we hit an edge cause on deposits that we are fixing right now... should be back online shortly...

Thanks, D'oh   :-[

I am in contact with Riggie and they are working as quickly as possible to integrate withdrawal and deposits for bts2 ..

Have you any news?
It is very important they continue operation's vs bts2.0 so users have confidence again...
They are currently working around the API .. they expected a different interface which makes integrating BTS2 a little more difficult ..
anyway BM is aware of the problems they are facing and spends time to make it easier for them

Ok, we're back up and running.  Please cut us a ticket immediately if you see any issues.

Thanks,
Richie

Any news? Has Bittrex solved their problems? Seriously what do we need, one of those Cryptsy threads showing all the dirty clothes to everyone on all reddits to have this solved.
54% losses already

Can somebody please HELP here?

I guess you better ask bittrex for news, I doubt someone is working for them here

Can somebody please contact her so we can end with this situation? Funds locked there since 14th. 49% losses being unable to trade or withdraw.
They are working on it .. I hat a chat with Riggie today .. I don't think he will run with your funds .. however .. someone of the BitShares community burnd him big time trading post snapshot BTS1 tokens on his platform!

Yes, i am aware. In the Bitshares telegram chat there was some people dumping coins on BTER after the snapshot. I think he is a delegate. Worth to reread all the conversation before and after the snapshot and check if something can be improved in the ethics department.

I am very sorry for the losses Bittrex could have but I am at this time worried enough about my own losses (49% and counting).

Especially not being responsible in either, the organization of an exchange that is getting fees for managing wallets and maybe (?) should do their homework regarding upgrades and forks of the main product they are selling (coins) or in the bitshares organization that maybe (?) could improve their communication skills at least with the 3 (not so many maybe?) major exchanges dealing with BTS that have ANY volume so things go smoothly.

Sadly that Bitshares investors and Bitshares image has to suffer from these problems. Bitshares has a wonderful technology and probably would have a far greater market cap and valuation if the investors were cared for, (as well as exchanges). Innaccesible exchanges, problems with wallets and 50% dumps probably scare a big deal to many investors and many won't come back ever.

Hey folks,

First off, let me apologize for our wallet/market being down and the confusion this has caused.  Understand that we run 400+ wallets and 99.9% of the devs work with us for critical wallet updates, especially one that causes a hard fork like this.  We were told to monitor https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/releases which we did, but never got any notice that the 2.0 snapshot date was finalized. We were still working and verifying tickets via http://bitsharesblocks.com which is still currently up and running.

That said, what has happened, has happened. We obviously could have been more diligent ourselves.  Here's where we are currently:

* All funds pre-fork are perfectly safe.  There was some confusion on when the snapshot block was but we've got that sorted out.
* We have our implementation ready to go but we need some help from the devs.  I've emailed what contacts I could but haven't heard back.  If anyone on the dev team could please contact us via our IRC or support channels, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
richie@bittrex

Thanks for the update and good to hear things are up and running again!

They just claimed their funds and are now working to integrate deposits/withdrawals ..

Give them some love since they still support BitShares2 even though some shareholders screwed them big time selling BTS1

Hey folks,
...

Welcome on board  :)
If you monitor https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/releases you should notice Fix hardfork code for October 13th message which was published at September 22. But you right happened what happened.

Thanks so much for confirming and your wonderful help. I really appreciate it. So at this point is proven that they received the coins 1350 blocks BEFORE the snapshot. So they have the coins on the Genesis Block in their own Wallet. IS BITTREX HONEST OR NOT?

Give them the benefit of doubt.  Let Bittrex know you have the official acknowledgement from a BTS dev that Block # 3824826 is confirmed to be the last BTS1 block to be included in BTS2 genesis. Point them to this thread as a prove.

I've used Bittrex in the recent past and haven't had any issue with them,  nor have any reason to not trust them.

 +5%

In the same breath; I find it hard to believe that an exchange that has somewhat "high" BTS trading volume didn't get the 2.0 upgrade memo.  Just my 2bts

Well.  There was no memo sent to any exchange.  They were expected to follow up with announcements in this forum. - https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,19042.msg244950.html#msg244950

The fork block was 3826176 at 2015-10-13T13:00:00.  All transactions before this block are honored in the BTS 2.0 genesis.

Block # 3824826 included a 200 BTS transaction to address BTSAXHvv3MD5UEmYxR24LNN2AkchZyBrqZFV.  The BTS 2.0 genesis includes:

Code: [Select]
    {
       "owner": "BTSAXHvv3MD5UEmYxR24LNN2AkchZyBrqZFV",
       "asset_symbol": "BTS",
       "amount": "20000000000"
    }

the owner of this address should be able to claim a balance of 200 BTS.

Hi,
Our records show Block # 3824826 as the block your coins were sent in and the fork block was 3823787, therefore these coins came in after fork.
Thank you,

Ryan

Which was the block of the snapshot?

Can somebody please verify this?

Delegate Participation on the Official Chain dropped off of a cliff.   No exchange should have processed deposits with such low delegate participation.

Not sure i understand you. I sent the funds 4 Hours before the snapshot. I have been listening the Bitshares Telegram chat with frequent participation statistics. I think i can find what rate of participation was hourly.

Here it is BITSHARES TELEGRAM CHAT and FAV stating how at 15:02 GMT+1 there was a "blockchain_average_delegate_participation": "89.38 %",  -> http://i.imgur.com/WDW4TgH.png
That was at 9:02 AM, with FAV saying "Now it is dead". So there were not delegate participation problems at all when i sent the money 4 HOURS BEFORE THAN THAT

If you send 4 hours before - don't worry - your fund safe and your account will be unlocked after Bittrex did investigation.

So does BITTREX have my money in their 0.9.x WALLET PRIVATE KEY even if they didn't migrate or whatever or they DON'T ??

They are doing it to prevent significant loss of funds.
Do not worry if you send them your coins before the fork, they will figure this one out and unlock your funds.

They are at risk because somebody could of deposited worthless BTS1.0 coins to the exchange after the fork, sold them for BTC or some other alt and then run with those good coins, leaving the exchange liable for the loss.

They are in the process of investigation if something was done wrong, so they blocked your account just in case, until they figure out what is going on.

I sent 200.000 BTS to Bittrex at 11:06 CEST 13 October. This is 4 HOURS BEFORE SNAPSHOT at 9:00 AM EST. Time conversion table here -> http://i.imgur.com/yhENOjA.png

http://bitsharesblocks.com/blocks/block?id=3824826

So even if they needed so much time for their preparation for the upgrade, they still HAVE EFFECTIVELY the private keys of my BTS in THEIR Wallet.

I didn't even trade, just held my coins there.

Today I received a mail from them, saying that they opened a case and have locked my funds, along with all alts. All the account locked.

So they are saying that they were not informed of the migration:

Ryan Hentz (Bittrex)

Oct 14, 13:00
Hi,
I'm opening a ticket to inform you that we have locked your account while we investigate a rollback of BTS transactions that happened after the BTS 2.0 rollout which Bittrex was not informed about. I will reply to this ticket when we have more information.
Thank you,

Ryan

So it seems some idiot (guess who) is going to pay with his money for nobody informing them. (Or they are lying)
