You are right, all is well. The computer restart apparently took care of whatever problem I was having.

Thanks for the welcome gift and cheers to you.

Awesome!

Boldly.going definitely showed up as an account when I sent you a few BTS. Your screenshot doesn't look like an error btw.. You can't click on dashboard in top left of the client?

Well, I thought that was my account name, anyway. I just visited bitsharesblocks.com/accounts to check if there was a balance there, but it says username "boldly.going" does not exist.

Additionally, I just tried to open my Linux light client, too (which worked yesterday), and get this error: http://www.tiikoni.com/tis/view/?id=867fcef (screenshot of my software)

Any suggestions? I"ll restart my computer now in case that's the trick. Thanks.
bitsharesblocks still shows the old 1.0 blockchain!
your account exists https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/account/boldly.going

as far as the error goes....just close the light  wallet and  open it again

What's your BTS ID? Will send you a welcome present :-)

It's boldly.going

Thanks! :)

Done :-).

Sending BTS from my phone is ridiculously easy with the open ledger web wallet.

Oh, wow. I had no clue. That's a great idea. :)

Thanks for your help. This is my first day in the forums. Was motivated to join after watching that Bitshares P2P Tour video yesterday. The vid gave me a vibe I haven't felt since the earlier days of Bitcoin -- a vibe which has dwindled in that community.

transfer button to send
your name is your 'address'
Lack of arbitrage is the problem, isn't it. And this 'should' solves it.

I just downloaded the new 2.0 software onto my Ubuntu machine. I've never used Bitshares, so I wanted to explore the wallet and its offerings.

But I seem to be missing the most rudimentary part: where's the receiving address? Or is that not even how Bitshares works? In the "deposit/withdraw" section, I see two addresses, but they're Bitcoin and Litecoin addresses, connected to an exchange site or something.

Help, thanks.
