OBITS Voting Has Ended. The Results

OpenLedger are very proud to announce that the votes are in! 251 OBITS holders out of 1800 voted for OBITS distribution to be carried out exclusively in bitUSD and on the basis of 50% sharedrop and 50% buyback and burn.

This is a marked change from before, when it was 90% in BTS and 10% in BTC, and 100% buyback and burn.

It was a great pleasure for the OpenLedger team to see a vote for vital changes to take place using decentralized voting, and we support the results which are the consequence of a majority vote.

The OBITS Voting Ends tomorrow - on August 1, 12 PM GMT

Only current OBITS holders can take part in voting. Every OBITS token holder received an incoming payment of 1 BTS, sent from the account obits-voting. In the memo field, each recipient will find their personal voting login and password.

We would like to ask for a special vote to allow the following change. We would like for future buybacks to only be carried out in bitUSD as buybacks done in BTS will not allow us to make the absolute maximum from every buyback.

The BuyBack on July 2 with the following burn of 451 190 OBITS executed. Congrats!

90% OF AMOUNT FOR BUYBACK: 5 278 319 BTS

10% OF AMOUNT FOR BUYBACK:  50 OPEN.BTC

451 190 OBITS burned today.





451190 OBITS at 13.51 end price was sold in this July buyback  amounting to a total of  5.864.799 BTS of which 10% approx 50 BTC was used in the btc market. This amount will now be burned as well. At today's price this is 1 280 071 USD value. One more reason why I will ask for a vote to change buyback to be in bitusd only. The recent drop in bts value did not allow us to make the maximum out of this buyback. IT could have been around 2 million USD value if I had not needed to change to bts. Based on my using of the borrowing option I do have some extra bts still sitting on obits account, and this amount will be used to buy back OBITS throughout the month of JULY, provided price will rise in this time, so a small added support of another 986 000 bts used as collateral is still on account. It was not needed to comply with what I change in value on June 25th after the auction.

OBITS has once again hit a record! Over $1.5 Million USD were raised during the OBITS WARRANTS AUCTION, held last Sunday. The entire supply of OBITS is now available for anyone to purchase. Voting options on OBITS will start on the first week of July, giving voters the choice of sharedrop, buyback or a 50% mix of sharedrop and buyback.
A snapshot on OBITS holders in the middle of July will define who will receive 5% of the supply of OCASH as a sharedrop. A similar snapshot on all OBITS holders will happen in the middle of each month for the next 4 months, so keep your friends close, and your OBITS closer.
