This is what @roadscape offers them as an API:
http://cryptofresh.com/api/cmc
it does contain OBITs and its 24h volume

it's just a matter of CMC to use that data

Thank you.

Is it possible for CoinMarketCap to reflect volume from OpenLedger.info ?

WOW! That is fast into the Muse wallet. Time to bring the rest over in chucks, again, really appreciate your help.  I'm grabbing 6 of it tonight, my friend will grab the remaining 4 btc worth tomorrow.

Edit: 6 btc worth complete
Great job!

Grabbed the remaining 4 BTC worth.

@clayop

My 2000 purchase was a success. Now, I should be able to withdraw openmuse to my Muse wallet if I'm understanding your directions right for the final step.

Yes, I temporarily moved my order to 0.00000389 toward your order and make it filled. This bug is really annoying but it has the highest priority in GUI development, so hopefully will be resolved in the next release.

Once I try to move this to my Muse wallet, I'll make sure the rest of my orders are at 391. :)

I think I'm working now.  When I registered a new account

Travels-asia-1

When I click create account next to my name, the fields are populated

Date: November 24th
Witness: spartako
Previous: 0121....
Transaction count: 1

Account name: travels-asia-1
Registar: openledger-reg
Lifetime referrer: openledger-reg
Fee: 95.30664

If I click on depost/withdraw, it's also populated now.   If I understand it, I send to the CCEDK BTC address (small test amount) to get this started?

Use the BTC address under OpenLedger (CCEDK)

I really appreciate all your help, doing that now and then following the directions on page 2 you posted. Sent BTC from my circle account to the CCEDK BTC address.

When I click Explore/Account, nothing shows up.   When I click trade. I see the 7 BTC worth of OpenMuse waiting for me to grab.  If you have 10BTC, my friend and I would like to grab them all.

I will put 3 BTC worth OPENMUSE more soon.

https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPENMUSE_OPENBTC

Waiting for getting filled :)

Thank you, I need to re-read the thread on how the OPEN stuff works with the wallet.  I'm a good example of your newbie trader that wants to get involved. I have some BTC in my wallet, a little on Circle.

Basically, OPENBTC and OPENMUSE are a exchange's BTC tokens (Openledger).
So you can deposit your real BTC in the exchange (converted to OPENBTC as like Poloniex's (Poloniex)BTC or Bitfinex's (Bitfinex)BTC). Open your web wallet (not light wallet now.. it cannot find the market pair now), and go your account page and enter to the deposit/withdraw tab. You'll find your BTC deposit address under OpenLedger section.

Then send your real BTC to the deposit address, and wait for one confirmation. Then you'll get your OPENBTC.

Go to the market I linked, and buy OPENMUSE. If you want to convert OPENMUSE to real MUSE, go to withdraw tab again and find corresponding withdraw address and memo and go for it.

@clayop

I feel like an idiot.  I went ahead and created an account on the light wallet a few days ago, I made a back up.  I went to the web wallet, imported the backup and entered the password which brought up my account.

When I click on account it shows

Recent Activity

operation                              info                                                                                     Date
Create Account                    (my name) registered by openledger-reg                        2 days ago

If I click create account, it shows blanks next to date/witness/previous/transaction count

Do I need to do anything else to create the account on the blockchain?
Where do I find my BTC deposit address?

When I click Explore/Account, nothing shows up.   When I click trade. I see the 7 BTC worth of OpenMuse waiting for me to grab.  If you have 10BTC, my friend and I would like to grab them all.

I feel like I'm missing a major step.

Hmm weird. You don't have to re-create your account. Have you refresh the webpage? Sometimes it shows erroneous page. You should see DASHBOARD instead of CREATE ACCOUNT.

I will try creating a fresh account

Using the dex is preferable for sure.

Just an FYI though: if you're not looking to cash out from Yunbi directly to fiat you can put in fictitious data for your ID. The fields aren't verified.

I'm in agreement, I'm not interested in providing ID for sign up.  I'm coming late to the party, I don't have a lot of money, but reserved 7 BTC to buy-in.  I'm sure there's others like me that are interested in participating but waiting for an easy option.

I will make OPENBTC:OPENMUSE market soon, if you're interested in buying MUSE with BTC.

That is awesome, thank you.  I'm ready to buy whenever it's ready.  I'm still extremely knew to this, so I'm grateful for the patience.  I'm sold on the idea of Muse, I'm looking forward to getting involved.
Okay, I will put some liquidity on OPENMUSE:OPENBTC market soon. But there is an issue with market filtering, so if you're using lightwallet, you should wait till the next release. Also, I'm now having problem with a minor (or major) deposit issue LOL

MUSE is available on Yunbi.com against CNY (BTS->CNY->MUSE). Also, CMC tracks MUSE as NOTE still and uses a feed from Yunbi to set the price. Since Yunbi has no trading fees the volume does not get counted and therefore doesn't show up on the ranked lists where you'd expect.

I like Yunbi, but the problems are that (a) you need to provide them with ID to sign up, and (b) their volume does not improve our internal exchange. When we have internal options like CCEDK and Blocktrades, which help build the BitShares ecosystem, they get my business.

Yeah, mine was there as soon as I opened the wallet. It is pretty impressive. And it also proves that Memo field has some real utility beyond just sending a message.

okay, after clicking on deposit/withdraw this is starting to make a whole lot more sense to me now.

if I click the "withdraw" button, and put my MUSE account name in the "withdraw to address," openledger will send muse to that address (not OPENMUSE), right?

Correct. ian-s should be your MUSE account.

Notestein took care of me, as expected.

Okay, I now have openmuse, and I don't want to buy BTS back with it because I bought them at 0.5 and would have to sell at 0.25. How do I go about getting muse from my openmuse? I don't see a listing for muse on ccedk.
You can find withdraw button (of openledger) in the latest wallet version.

We am going to approach more exchanges next week ..
Exchanges are the number 1 priority .. once we have MUSE traded on some exchanges, MUSE_USD can be launched .. then on/off ramps

awww damnit. I got ahead of myself and sent openmuse when I should have sent trademuse.

I made a mistake myself with one of my trades. I accidentally sent BTS instead of TRADE.MUSE to a Blocktrades address. Dan Notestein kindly refunded it right away after I PM'ed him. I'm sure CCEDK would do the same if you made a mistake.

it was blocktrades actually. didn't realize it was dan notestein who ran that though, i see him post here all the time. I'm sure my support inquiry will get resolved promptly.

I think OPEN.xxx is an OpenLedger/CCEDK "brand", while TRADE.xxx is used by Blocktrades. Yeah, this probably isn't the cheapest price, since not many people are selling their TRADE.MUSE on there, but at least it allows us to get some MUSE before they take off the reins and let that baby sail for the moon.

I'm looking forward to having this whole exchange process embedded into a few "click, click, clicks" for someone who just wants to buy another currency at a market rate.

sounds kind of cool. thanks guys.

is the point to allow for other exchanges to accept these? or is it exchange specific?

What's the difference between OPEN.SOMETHING and TRADE.SOMETHING?

Just tried it. We'll see how it goes. Is it just me or did muse price go up dramatically?

awww damnit. I got ahead of myself and sent openmuse when I should have sent trademuse.

Blocktrades works really well. I have used CCEDK for other things, but have not yet used it for MUSE. Here's the basic process for getting MUSE through Blocktrades.

https://blocktrades.us/

1. Buy some TRADE.MUSE on the decentralized exchange (using your BTS inside OpenLedger or the Light Client)
2. Go to the Blocktrades link above and select currencies from drop-down menu for TRADE.MUSE--> MUSE. Make sure to input your MUSE receiving address (the name you use in your MUSE wallet, not your BitShares wallet). Then click the button to get the deposit address (which is actually a specific code you will paste into your memo section). This is how you will send your TRADE.MUSE from BitShares' Openledger or Light Client.
3. From BitShares, send your TRADE.MUSE to the address: "blocktrades" (no quote marks) and paste the memo code (that Blocktrades generated for you) into the memo section before sending.

Try it with a small amount the first time and when you feel confident it works, you can send more. It's magic. The freaking thing is almost instant. By the time you get your MUSE client open again, your deposit will already be there.

Is there a guide where I can bring myself up to speed on what these OPEN.ASSET and TRADE.ASSETs are?

I feel like they kind of snuck into the system on me.
You can buy IOU.MUSE with BTS. Then, you can withdraw them to your local MUSE wallet. (I recommend OPENMUSE because it has lower fees)
