Current Light Wallet

I have the light wallet for 2.0 that came out when 2.0 came out i think it was in October. If I have that same wallet do I need to upgrade the wallet? Can I just leave my coins in the original 2.0 light wallet? If so how long can i leave my coins in the original 2.0 wallet before i have to upgrade?
