You could do like luckybit said. btw UIA means User Issued Asset. An asset that would represent the value of your work, which you can create at any time on BitShares  :)

This could help you kickstart your art business. have a read here, hopefully you'll understand it better https://bitshares.org/technology/user-issued-assets/

Tbh I would love to see this in BitShares!

Thanks for the info and link. This is the kind of speculation I enjoy. I am inspired by the philosophy behind private currencies. This is reason to do art work. It may be revolutionary.

I will read and study the info in the link on bitshares.org so I can speak with a bit more understanding of the workings of it. I do own bitshares and became a lifetime member.

My user name is rayzzz57

I might be interested in forming a group to help administrate this project to put my art on the bitshares blockchain. I would want it to be done right so that people could feel confident about being a part of it. Anyone interested?

@xeroc may help you out with that or possibly indicate you someone who could!

I'm sure some people given they're into crypto would love to have some of your art work, it's really beautiful!

Ray,

Nice work. For some odd reason, you have a very strange picture at the very bottom of your web page that I suspect is not there on purpose, it is a pic of a bitshares error message.

I asked a few questions about restoring my wallet and had this problem so I posted it and linked to it. It was more of a java problem than the bitshares wallet.

Got it figured out now...

Ray, your pictures are great. I hope this and other projects might consider integrating some of your images rather than merely stock or graphic design logos (which are beautiful, too, when done well, but nowhere near as expressive and unique as your work).

Thank you donkeypong ! I agree that there is a place for fine art as well as the business logo graphic art with regards to bitshares and cryptocurrencies in general.

I am reading more about how to incorporate my art in the blockchain for the purpose of dating the creation as a copyright date, etc. Love this idea.

Thanks for the nice comments.

No, the image at the bottom was put there for another reason. Removing it now that I have restored my bitshares wallet.

:P

This is an artistic impression about BitShares.
What did you expect?  ;)

Welcome to the forum @Ray !

I like your theme with Franklin & Jackson etc...

Scanning art and creating a unique identifiers as proof-of-existence is possible.. here is an article I read a while back:

Thank you merivercap :) I read the article. Very interesting. It looks like a great way to add protection to intellectual property, such as art, patents, literature or anything. It's like having witnesses to an event or creation. I will be studying more about this. The art side is my world. The technicalities are something else. I would be interested in teaming up with some of you techies to use my art in a Bitshares project. How can this be done?

The Bitshares community needs stock artwork. Maybe your UIA could be a UIA where people buy it from you to fund your initial artwork. Once funded then they can send the UIA back to you to be redeemed for future artwork. Self issued credit, just redeem your tokens and deliver on your promises.

For example there are a lot of DACs based on Bitshares which will need art. A lot of blockchains, a lot of interface logos and designs, etc. In addition there could be a need for all sorts of websites and more.

@Ray you've done great work! I'm very intrigued and excited to see you're wanting to integrate Bitshares into your work.
When you ask how to "incorporate" into Bitshares, are you asking how to connect your work to the block chain via a UIA? Or are you asking for ideas/suggestions/philosophy of Bitshares to incorporate into your artwork?

I understand basics about cryptocurrencies but do not know what UIA is... I saw videos about contracts being on the blockchain and thought about my art work, somehow being incorporated. I'll have ideas here, but am limited on the technical side. I do appreciate the private nature of cryptocurrencies just as the early American colonists used their own paper money instead of the British money... thereby keeping transaction fees under control and the money in their own economy instead of that of England. It was considered by Franklin to be the real reason for the American Revolution. It was a step in the right direction towards independence.

I am asking for ideas, suggestions, philosophy as well as to share my work.

Here are a few links to articles on my Art of Bitcoin...

http://motherboard.vice.com/read/the-devout-and-lucrative-world-of-bitcoin-fan-art

I've wondered if a coin could be generated by the uniqueness of a piece of art. Scanning the art at exact settings, giving numerical values to pixels and creating one hell of a mathmatical formula to create a blockchain? I'd love to see that with my art. Let's try it with bitshares.

Thanks emailtooaj
