SWEET!

Our first big Ripple/Stellar breakup fork!

Will BitSharesX2 be sharedropping on BTS???

Or maybe we are making too big a deal about this temporary BitShares 2.0 blinded transactions special introductory offer to try before you buy (a lifetime membership)

Then 3 months later, the fees go back to normal, and we have 100x the number of users, and Ronny makes his killing.

What am I missing?

I thought that this was just a special promotional launch marketing initiative.

We do do "marketing" right?

Some data related to DacPlay here (dig from the block chain data):

bts.api (registrar):
Lifetime fees paid   58,100 BTS
Cashback   82,300 BTS
Registered Accounts (200+)

cryptofresh (referrer, but also a referrer of OpenLedger):
Lifetime fees paid   34,900 BTS
Cashback   90d - 14,820 / 27,830 BTS
Referred Accounts (50)

btsabc (referrer):
Lifetime fees paid   20,140 BTS
Cashback   90d - 2,100 / 6,620 BTS
Referred Accounts (69)

ebit (referrer):
Lifetime fees paid   7,620 BTS
Cashback   242.3 BTS
Referred Accounts (29)

www.bts-hk (referrer):
Cashback   64.2 BTS
Referred Accounts (11)

Where are you going with this?

I dont see you mention Openledger account? and this one was promoted 2 weeks after dac.play has introduced their referral system out of the blue without any prior co ordination with the bts network

and I guess it only shows that not much action is taking place on dac, play registered referred users, well maybe I am wrong in thi sentence, but just my observation.
I just dig out some data (from https://cryptofresh.com/) and post here, for whom has interest in it. Neutrally.

Sure dac.play didn't issue their own assets nor trading pairs. I don't know if they made other marketing efforts.

The referral system is imperative for incentivising new businesses to refer their customers to BitShares. Openledger has been smashing it lately and I expect other companies are looking at utilising referral. We need to have patience and support here.

Bitcrab i think it's great that you are actively working to find solutions and improve the network, really great. I realise that you are putting forward ideas....nothing wrong with that. I do hope this particular suggestion is given a great deal of thought and rationalisation. Keep up the good work!

It is my firm belief that the referral system is one of the best incentives for future growth on BitShares platform.

It has not worked on dac.play so I guess the asumption is then that it will not work on OpenLedger and similar as well, but that is a completely wrong attitude, and I will personally pull out of anything related with BitShares if this is voted out, as I will have no belief or incentive in the continous pull for getting BTS and OpenLedger known worldwide.

Now I said it, and I will not repeat it, but the whole business is built around inviting marketeers to get involved and taking away an incentive essentially of great importance for marketeers to want to get involved in this project will kill the reasons for any future growth.

just a heads up to all OBITS hodlers, by voting for Bitcrab, you're actively helping killing off obits / revenue based models.

1.The core idea is, as a DAC, Bitshares' goal is not to make more network money, its task is to provide an advanced, convenient and attractive and cheap platform, meanwhile provide chance and tools for every player here to make money.

2.Keeping high transfer fee and meanwhile putting much fund on refining the fee structure is the wrong way, we should move to the right way -  go back to the global lowest tranfer fee scheme.

3.The referral program does not fit Bitshares, we need to eliminate its bad effect.

let me remind you that without referral income, OL makes little profit, effectively killing OBITS purpose.
