With bitshares and custom TOKENS sellers could start affiliation programs.

If we do that, imagine also integrating OpenLedger's fiat bridge so that you could immediately deposit USD on your OpenBazaar account. Seems a pretty good idea.

I guess it's just a matter of first mover advantage

The question is how to help them realize that bitshares is the best option for them.

I think we should consider paying some developer for integrating bitshares into openbazar. With already written code, they will more likely accept whole idea. Certainly, I would vote for this!
They use python and backbone (javascript frontend) .. that should make it rather easy to start integration ..
protocol details for openbazaar need to be learnd first but that shouldn't be much of an issue ..

However, DrWashington told me that the documentation for devs is rather .. well .. minimalistic at the moment so that I believe it makes sense to also have someone of them on board.
I certainly don't want to fork their work but have their community approve it and help us out.

So we have scalability and smartcoins. Really wasnt expecting this, I
thought most projects were bitcoin centric. Glad i was wrong. I honestly
didnt think we could ever have a chance but at the moment we are indeed
the best option.
Now take a look at this:

I talked to Dr. Washington in person in Amsterdam and he is an
intelligent guy and doesn't refuse to integrate with other technology
per se. His position however does not allow him to change course just
now and it wouldn't make sense either.

I'd like to see them launch their current tech on the bitcoin blockchain
and have a discussion about future possibilities afterwards.

Currently, I am writing on a write-up for them so they see what is
possible with our tech. Gonna keep you posted.

If you have a minute, why not reply to Brian's tweet. He is also a nice
guy and I talked to him in Amsterdam as well.

That guy is also in VA.  Too bad it is the other side of Virginia.
I speak for myself and only myself.

They wont go with private chains or chains from big corporations IMO. It doesnt make sense and goes against its principles. Ethereum doesnt seem to scale lile we do unless they already have a plan for the future, iheard they are working onlightning networks of their own even though that Will take a lot of time. Still, right now, as it is, we are the chain that fits the profile better. They seem to be close to the release and we seem to be the best option.
