I guess this bounty is also in need of title update? (I'm guessing it's not current.)

Can't pull request this since it's in a subpage, but the countdown on the page wraps around to 99 instead 59.

Here's a patch applicable to jquery.countdown.js to fix it:
Code: [Select]
15,16c15,16
<     format: "dd:hh:mm:ss",
<     startTime: "01:12:32:55",
---
>     format: "ddd:hh:mm:ss",
>     startTime: "001:12:32:55",
28a29
>     var lastFormat = "";
48c49
<             digits[c].__max = (c % 2 == 0) ? 2: 9;
---
>             digits[c].__max = (lastFormat != 'h') ? 2 : 9;
57c58
<             digits[c].__max = (c % 2 == 0) ? 5: 9;
---
>             digits[c].__max = (lastFormat != 's') ? 5 : 9;
58a60
>         lastFormat = options.format[i];

Find a typo, a glitch, or some other cosmetic bug with invictus.io, submit a pull request and get paid.  If you don't know how to use github, then post in this thread and split the bounty with someone who can manage github.

https://github.com/super3/invictus.io

You keep writing effect instead of affect. I am too lazy to look through the website.

Okay, so this is not exactly what was asked for, but I completely rewrote the Beyond Bitcoin Summit copy. I am not clever enough to figure out github, unfortunately.

This is my recommendation. I think it is an improvement worth considering.
_____________________
Change all copy at http://invictus.io/devcon.php to the following:

“The Bitcoin meteor is going to smash the FIRE (finance, insurance, real estate) sectors.” (Max Keiser, RT International)

Beyond Bitcoin Summit is ground zero. Join us at the first-ever event dedicated to the future of blockchain-based businesses.

In September 2013, Invictus pioneered the idea of moving Bitcoin’s blockchain technology far, far beyond currency. This idea is known as the Decentralized Autonomous Corporation (DAC). Today, everyone from Mastercoin to Ethereum is exploring this revolutionary technology.

Join us at the Beyond Bitcoin Summit, the first event dedicated to the future of blockchain-based businesses. We are calling on entrepreneurs, investors, and software developers to join us in Las Vegas, where we will assemble unique content and opportunities never before seen at any Bitcoin conference. You will learn the secrets to building a successful and profitable decentralized business and have the opportunity to bring together the talent and capital needed to launch your own venture.

Invictus is leading the way with our BitShares X platform, which is an incorruptible and decentralized blockchain-based bank and exchange. But this is only the beginning. The opportunities in this space reach beyond what anyone can currently imagine. Other business models might include voting, auctions, domains, intellectual property, gambling, insurance, and even governance. Anyone with an understanding of the concepts at this summit can launch a revolutionary and profitable new business.

Just checking in.  I know you've got a billion and one things going on right now, but I wanted to note that https://github.com/InvictusInnovations/invictus.io/pull/8 has not been paid yet (or perhaps to be more accurate, I did not receive a bounty for that pull request).

hmm I think that reverses a change dan made earlier
https://github.com/InvictusInnovations/invictus.io/pull/13

comments?

Most likely it is good like it is because it is the style that goes through all the pages for "title" text e.g.:
Earns Income (BitSharesX)
Transparent Blockchains (BitShares)

and then continues on page Keyhotee with "Your new Email"

From github:
Someone from Github wrote me:

redirect this pull request to i3's repo

My question is: How do I redirect to i3 repo? is this the i3 repo:  super3 / invictus.io?

I just clicked again on pull request, hope that was correct. It is #61:
super3/invictus.io · Update keyhotee.php

Changed "Your new Email" to "Your new email" and "Your new Identity" to "Your new identity"

Created https://github.com/InvictusInnovations/invictus.io/pull/6

Some of the changes were 'meta' changes that fix HTML syntax or make the content more robust to sitemap changes, but do not affect how the actual content is displayed.  Changes are itemized in the pull request description so that you can determine which ones qualify for the bounty.

Also note that a commit by Daniel Larimer snuck into my pull request — I didn't see the note on the forum about changing the upstream repo until after I created the pull request.  It appears that maybe Daniel's commit got merged into the super3 repo but not the InvcitusInnovations one?  Anyway, it's tricky to cherry-pick commits when doing a pull request; hopefully this doesn't cause any problems.

This is a bit more than a typo, as it looks like data being scraped from other sites is no longer working.

On http://invictus.io/bitshares-pts.php, for both BTER and Cryptsy, it shows :

Price (USD)*
0
Price (BTC/PTS)
0
High (BTC/PTS)
0
Low (BTC/PTS)
0
Volume
0

Wait 20-30 sec and it's will appear. Too long but still working  :(

Looks like someone was able to contact Bter and get the forum link fixed, but now the "Website: link" is broken, it takes you to http://invictus-innovations.com/protoshares which is an error page. Contact Bter to get that fixed.

What is happening with the Pull Requests on GitHub for the typos? I submitted some changes as a pull request a month ago and they were never changed. Since Mt. Gox was removed from the page last week, I deleted that pull request and created a new one with the typos done on the current version of the page. It seems like Super3 is no longer updating?

Yes, Super3 has started his Semester at school and is too busy to work on this.   We have created a fork of his website here: https://github.com/InvictusInnovations/invictus.io

If you submit pull requests there our guys will pull it in and address it.

Thanks, I created pull request #3

This seems rather important:

http://invictus-innovations.com/protoshares is the "forum" link on Bter's PTS page http://bter.com/trade/pts_btc  goes to an error page.  Someone needs to contact Bter about this to have it fixed and in the mean time have the page redirected to the bitshares forum.

Says "lean" twice in the document instead of the proper "lien".

Personally, I wouldn't want to bank with an entity that didn't know the difference...well, maybe if I were borrowing I would ;D

(Just saw this is a doc on the old site.  Not looking for a bounty, but probably should be corrected.)

Hi All,
Not technically a typo in invictus.io, but didn't know where to post this - there is a link at the top of the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/officialbitshares) that points to http://www.bitshares.org/ which is currently just a holding page - maybe it should point to http://invictus.io until the other site is up and running?

I can't submit this fix, though as obviously I can't modify the facebook page!

The "BitShares X" page reads, "Earn 5% or more on anything." even though that no longer seems to be the case re: this.

I don't know if that counts as a typo, per se.

Offline lakerta06

Here is a new one, but I am not sure which way to go:

On page http://invictus.io/bitshares-ags.php the term "Allied developers" is seen twice. I think both "a" and "d" shoud be in lower case. Or if "Allied Developers" is a proper noun (which I do not think so), then it should be both uppercase.

So I went the lowercase way and created a pull request:

https://github.com/super3/invictus.io/pull/78

Let me know if it should be the other way around.

rejected with no comment  ???

Guess it was a style choice to have Allied developers.

Lol  :)

I've made two changes in this pull request: https://github.com/super3/invictus.io/pull/80 (username themanifold). One is a grammar typo, the other is to create some favicons. Everyone loves favicons.

PTS addy is in the pull request description.

Oops... I really hope I get credit for each typo I fixed and not just 1 PTS per pull request! /:

Sure thing, you get one per typo found/fixed.  I am going to delegate the task of paying these bounties out to Amazon.

Thanks for everyone who has worked on this while we were busy in Miami.

Hi all,
Don't have the time to work out how to use github right now, but just spotted the link on http://invictus.io/bitshares-pts.php to the beeeer mining pool isn't correct - it's points to http://pts.beeeeer.org/, but should be http://ptsweb.beeeeer.org.

Someone who knows how to do it, feel free to submit a fix, and share the bounty with me (PoPcJAzDM5WMnTfBLuMpXSpbW8hjPV1c7d)!  :D

On page http://invictus.io/bitshares-ags.php, I think the following statement should be changed:

"You must send all donations from a wallet where for which you control the Private Key such as Bitcoin-Qt"

https://github.com/super3/invictus.io/pull/70
Shouldn't it be called 'address' instead of wallet .. wallets only exist in the reference bitcoin-qt/protoshare-qt implementation .. addresses exist in the protocol
Well, currently you can't even manage from which address you send the PTS from. If you have multiple addresses in your wallet, it just sends from one of them, or even with multiple input addresses.

Or can you manage it by the way?

I changed "Report Problems with Invictus.io" to
"Report problems with Invictus.io"

My name at Github is 38PTSjuggler, thank you and good luck in Miami

Modify:

I changed the capitalization of words that should normally be without capitalization.
For example: "Transparent Blockchains" to "Transparent blockchains"

Or: "Income from Transaction Fees" to "Income from transaction fees"
Or: "Slow Confirmations"to "Slow confirmations" because for example here:

All revenue spent on security
Additional 12% security tax
Slow Confirmations
Consumes Billions Annually

you could either write: "All Revenue Spent On Security" and follow this style, or do the changes I did.

After I started to change things I found out that I have to do this everywhere to make it consistent. I see that changing "Our Studio" to "Our studio" does not look so good but anyway, thanks for introducing me to GitHub and open-source feeling.

Do not use this post as information for making any important decisions. The only agreements I ever make are informal and non-binding. Take the same precautions as when dealing with a compromised account, scammer, sockpuppet, etc.

Find a typo, a glitch, or some other cosmetic bug with invictus.io, submit a pull request and get paid.  If you don't know how to use github, then post in this thread and split the bounty with someone who can manage github.

https://github.com/super3/invictus.io

Was just wondering if I'd get any reward. As far as I know, I was one of the first to start submitting pull requests - 3 of them - (username themanifold on github) for invictus.io.. :)

Address: PgiEykg2RATYwWYhFtyNRqwSxQyEApLSmW

I am looking for your name in the commit log as it appears Super3 closed your pull request.   Looking through the commit history I do not see your requests... very curious.

If we pulled in your requests then I will make sure you get paid.      Ping me back after Miami Conference and I will get to the bottom of these missing commits.

I've submitted a few typo and standardization suggestions: https://github.com/super3/invictus.io/pull/50

  • bitshares-pts.php - It kept alternating between "ProtoShares", "Protoshares" and "protoshares" where the rest of the site just used "Protoshares".  Fixed capitalization of "Bitshares". Added missing period
  • bitshares-ags.php - Typo: "donators" -> "donors".  Standardized capitalization of "Bitshares".
  • funding-philosophy.php - I don't think "minable" is a word and "mineable" look odd, so I changed "is minable" to "can be mined".  Typo: too many "n"s in "technology".  Fixed capitalization of "Website" to be consistent.
  • keyhotee.php - "unstability" isn't a word, but "instability" is.

Suggestions: make a guideline of what capitalization to use for "Protoshares".  Also, from an HTML perspective, I saw "<br>", "<br/>", and "<br />" all used in the code.

My PTS address is Pstkk1gZCxc4GEwS1eBAykYwVmcubU1P8L
Send whatever you think is appropriate.

edit: Site footer had an HTML typo.  It used "&ampl;" instead of "&amp;" in a URL.  Also, for consistency, if you're going to spell out "Incorporated" in the address, you can probably afford to spell out "Drive" as well.  ;D

when showing this site to my wife last night, I thought I stumbled upon one such typo.

On http://invictus.io/bitsharesx.php in the section comparing a bank to bitsharesX:
Lends dollars.
Earns revenue.
Calls loan.
Repay loan.

I found it awkward that Repay is not Repays to go with the other ones. BitsharesX repays loan sounds better than BitsharesX repay loan.
