Instead of all of the speculation, I would suggest setting up A/B split testing on some of the suggestions posed in this thread, as well as setup conversion goals on your pages to start getting the numbers higher.

Maybe it would look better if you changed the X on  word "EXPECTED" to look like the blue X  on the logo above (Italicized maybe?) 

wouldn't do this to much IMO
