I am also experiencing this bug.

And, in general this version seems less stable to me than 0.2.3. I don't know if it's the database getting corrupted from forcefully killing the program like maqifrnswa is speculating on https://github.com/BitShares/qt_wallet/issues/19, because for me the Qt wallet sometimes segfaults on startup and sometimes it does not. It's hard to reproduce the error since it appears to happen randomly.

I have the same thing, and I don't have lottoshares nor -USE_DBUS=on. I've never seen it before, you can submit a bug against qt_wallet on github
https://github.com/BitShares/qt_wallet

EDIT: I've filed a bug
https://github.com/BitShares/qt_wallet/issues/19
you can follow it there

thank you for that. i'm not comfortable dicking around the github or the wiki yet tbh.

interestingly, I just randomly ran the client, and got my menu.

so sometimes the menu bar is in play. sometimes it isn't. i think it's partly an ubuntu glitch because I've seen it in other apps too.

ok I compiled 0.3.0.

but now my btsx menu seems to be inaccessible, and my tray icon only lets me maximize and minimize the window on double click (right click does nothing).

the tray icon for my regular QT clients for other altcoins have been doing this since I compiled lottoshares, but with those I still have access to their respective menus.

I noticed that the tray icons moved out of where they are supposed to be (at the top right, next to my other indicators) when I compiled lottoshares. I suspect it might have something to do with my using the -USE_DBUS=on flag when I compiled. now they are in the top left corner.

did compiling lottoshares cause this? I don't know, it might just be correlation and not causation, that's just when I noticed it.

now I have no way to exit BitSharesX without going into system monitor and closing it manually.

to illustrate, here's a screenshot with an arrow I drew on it pointing to what's supposed to be my BTSX indicator.

**there's a link here but I took it down a moment cause I realized I just posted my meagre balance***

anyone have any clue how I screwed this up?
