making bitAssets of anything that has complex cashflow and redemption features, such as MBS, won't work imho. even before taking legal and regulatory challenges into account. focusing on making simple things work seamless is more valuable ;)

bitAssets imho wont work only if the delegate transaction costs are not jigged meaning different assets have different possibly laddered transaction costs, so we can stay competitive towards the present Asset Exchanges (im referring to the OTC or "Over the counter" exchange thing, its not really an exchange but its a network of broker dealers.  We can build that network through our competitive advantages.

This is in the future not right now.  First we have to perfect bitUSD, then bitCNY.

Why haven't you posted here?  https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=8268.0

Someone should have tested them before it went offline.  It was spam, but it was a two-bit gateway (two-bit gateways are not bad).

Is that a scam site onceuponatime, can we trust them?  If they take credit cards I guess its ok because if they scam you you can charge it back.  But honestly, if you scam them, if you charge back and they give you the god damn bitshares, Karma is going to get you in the end.  What goes around comes around.

Or even like bitMBS

MBS = mortgage backed security

an MBS is not a stock, it is a derivative contract.

All that matters is that we have the proper terms and conditions and we jig the transaction costs so that it is competitive enough for the market makers/broker dealers/investment banks/bitshares delegates, to make profits

Hi

http://www.valuewalk.com/2014/08/bear-stearns-lets-deal-direct/?utm_source=mailchimp&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=EMAIL_DAILY&utm_content=quick_link

Just imagine.

All the big investment banks deal on the platform.   Here is a potential type of security that could be traded (an example)

ie.    bit_mortgage_security_freddie_mac_10_year_4_percent_65_basis_points

thats what it would look like.  All we need is the licenses and the US government is pro-business.

**added first edit** I understand Bear Stearns went bankrupt from trading them, it was due to sub-prime mortgages.  We are the ecosystem, it would affect prices, but it is just about delegates and transactions.

**addition added second edit** All we need is the transaction costs to be laddered, or different so we are competitive enough to bump  off the present futures/commodity, etc exchanges.
