Be sure to update the wiki to note that Bitshares is an MLM scam now.

lol, will make it top of the page. That should earn us some trust. May be the idea is so great we don't really need the wiki.

If you don't mind,

I will continue updating/editing http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/BitShares/Howto  (Getting Started)

Planned edits/updates:
1) Updates graphics/text for the latest client.

Planned additions

1) Starting with a webwallet, as in https://wallet.bitshares.org/#/unlockwallet

2) Starting with a light client (I've got no experience with light clients yet)

I should complete most of the edits tomorrow (when I have time).
Awesome job!

Could add a description to add private keys manually (best would be a link to a different article) for early investors to show how to claim their genesis stake?

Thanks, I've put some structure to the page. Would review, add later.

I'm not sure I understand enough about.

So, I might let someone else add it.

Is there anyone looking to have access to the wiki who doesn't have an account yet?

Thanks Ken. Just a heads up the horizontal line marks the start of my take on the intro paragraph. Also I'm hoping to have a draft submitted much earlier than May 1st... ASAP even!

Me too, I never post a date that can be breached tho. I know we can probably have it done in a few days actually and by the looks of it, our Wiki will be twice as informative as Ethereum's. We have a lot of stuff to brag about as you'll see from all my edits in there :

Would love some help with the Wiki:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zCMUJtqB3Gm9Za9plByINf_MRy0oPr5zuEU5BpyhvRQ/edit#

My edits are in anarcho-red color. I'll resume on it tomorrow, it's getting late here in Munich, I gotta eat somethin.
robrigo and I (with help from the community) should have the Wiki done in a few weeks if we all look it over....
Please and thanx :)

Are the two wiki's the same content?.. Is there duplicate detail and then some difference in detail for example installing?

I've already wondered the github is the more reliable one.

No, totally different content.  github is almost entirely produced by devs.  wiki.bitshares.org was 98% community 2% devs.

At one point I had stuff of a technical nature but I removed it as it wasn't working..

+5% to everyone.  The wiki is fairly high page ranked etc now. It needs to be saved.  For the end user, AFAIK it is still the best resource.

+5% great idea to give the BitShares wiki a much needed overhaul. I also like the idea of deploying a gitbooks and reworking the essentials into that format as a refactoring exercise.
And while we are on the topic of wikis, anyone that feels like proofreading the rough draft to submit to wikipedia.org feel free: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zCMUJtqB3Gm9Za9plByINf_MRy0oPr5zuEU5BpyhvRQ/edit#
Please use strikethroughs and separate text color if you want to suggest edits. Thanks.

I'm in there working as we speak.  My edits are in anarcho-red color..
