hi
i use 0.9.0 wallet 64 win

win7 , 200 gb, 2,2 ghz prozessor and 4 gb ram

now while running the wallet the procesor is almost always at 90 to 100 %

and gets real hot
is there a way to reduce that

i checked and that happens only if i run the wallet

High load usually indicates that your client is catching up with the blockchain. That might take some time, but once finished, the client will run much more smoothly with less load.
The progress of syncing should be printed in the lower right corner of the GUI .. what does it say?
Give BitShares a try! Use the http://testnet.bitshares.eu provided by http://bitshares.eu powered by ChainSquad GmbH

I use a similar setup and my cpu (dual core Celeron N2830) under normal circumstances and when synching, uses 48%-50% with an occasional rise to 70%-80% and this sudden rise is for less than 1-2 secs.

If you have your laptop/pc shut down for lots of days then some windows updates might be available and installed when windows start in your machine. The "problem" here is that after this update, when you will restart your machine there is a .NET optimization process that eats up to 50% of your cpu for about half an hour.

Also when the antivirus kicks in the usage goes to 100%

If your cpu is equal or better than mine then you should check your processes to rule out that no other process eats up your cpu (be sure to check "show all processes" because there are hidden ones)

If your cpu is much lower than mine then you should probably ignore my post.

what i already did:
i start task manager
the wallet was synced and i had still up to 100% usage of the procesor
i dont do windows updates while i run the wallet
actualy i do updates only during the night if at all
( dont like them very much)
in the task manager i watch the usage of cpu
its only bitshares that has such a high level

even after its synced its high if i try to use it
and i have still that severe network error sight
but if i try get info
i have 100% del participation

any idea what i can do ?

try the terminal version and check if it has the same cpu usage ..
the terminal version is called "bitshares_client.exe" and should be in the install directory

let it run until you see ">>>"
then you can get the info with "info"
it should say that the last block was some few seconds ago ..

thank you
at the moment i run it to sync
i did just now get_info
its just 17 days behind
and i have that severe network error
only 0,07 % of del
could that cause the high usage ?

after that sync is finished i will run that "bitshares_client.exe"

About the cpu consumption.... It's still not clear to me (it may be my poor english) if you checked the bitshares process cpu consumption or your total system cpu consumption. Just to be sure that we ruled out the possibility that another process eats up your cpu...

(Sorry if I become tiresome but some times the devil is in the details..)

In the task manager if you sorted your processes by cpu consumption and clicked in the "Show processes from all users" button...

You should see something like this pic below, if the bitshares process shows 90+ usage then I suppose your cpu is too weak or something else is happening. If you see another process eating your cpu  and the bitshares process is much less that 90-80% then you know what is wrong.

That's all right .. when syncing is not finished .. participation is bad .. (software glitch ... kind of)
During the syncing process .. the load on your CPU and your Hard drive is very high .. that's expected ..

Quote
after that sync is finished i will run that "bitshares_client.exe"
I'd recommend to launch the terminal version instead of the gui .. in my experience it is a little more robust ..
also note that once the blockchain is initially synced you should restart the client (in your case the GUI client then) ..

yes i did that and it shows me all prosses that are running i clicked down below on the botton show all user
and it shows me all that is running
bitshares was always at the top

a minute ago it crashed again

no network conection
and then no response
i had to close it in the task manager

i watch in task manager how much usage bitshares has
so that i dont mix it with another one runing
