help to import keys
« on: August 12, 2014, 04:37:24 AM »

Hello, i
I have managed to get the wallet running and synced, as far as i can tell all is good, i am trying to add my private keys, from https://blockchain.info/wallet, there are several options as to the format to export. eg Base58, bitcoin qt, Base64, hex. then there is encrypted or unencrypted, then i am presented with a text file.

anyway i have  entered the key beside my address in the add key option in the wallet, it said succesful, but i still have a 0 balance, can some one, shed some light for me , I am not a coder and have a very limited knowledge of this sort of thing.
Regards Dan

Its not wise to post your encrypted privkey as you just did .. I advice you to remove the quote in your post immediatelly.

To you question: the btsx wallets expects a WIF formated privkey which is basically the bitcoin-q output format
Give BitShares a try! Use the http://testnet.bitshares.eu provided by http://bitshares.eu powered by ChainSquad GmbH

Thanx, i have 20.75 Ags showing here http://www1.agsexplorer.com/  this address 1huM19dznDrA3uqt7WZGAS4Zjpfi7izaG, Also i deleted a large section of all the numbers in the last post,so i dont think anyone will get in, and that wallet is empty, as i was a bit sus on this whole process. i have copied to 2 keys in bitcoin qt, and imported them successfully, but nothing in the wallet as yet.

You don't have BTSX because you donate after 28 Feb.
This address will get DNS and Votes shares at next snapshot 21 Aug.

You can try redeeming your LTS (lottoshares) .. they might not yet be matured yet .. but who knows ..
besides that you can only wait for upcoming snapshots: VOTE, DNS ...

Thankyou for the reply,
Ok so i need to wait for a different wallet to be released?  I am so lost, I was under the understanding that, i donated back in march, an once the countdown was completed i would receive an allocation of btsx, by adding my private keys to the btsx wallet?
I have been running the btsx wallet, but i guess that is not correct? So what do i need to do ?

Since this is bleeding edge, rapidly evolving technology, you should probably spend at least a little bit of time on the forum every day in order to stay informed.
