Exponential Finance Conference
« on: August 26, 2014, 12:56:33 AM »

I always was a believer in the exponential hype and transhumanist lines of thinking,
but I never saw how I could be a part of it before crypto.

Check out the Introduction by Peter Diamandis.  All the presentations are up here.

Staci Warden talking about Bitcoin in "The Transformative World of Digital Commerce and Finance". Great highlighting of why Bitcoin has the potential to disrupt existing financial structures. Also has a few bulletpoints on the flaws of Bitcoin. Finally a great introduction to how the bitcoin blockchain works.

Pretty good  +5%
regarding the first video. Not that bad but I dont like how people always claim crypto currencies are totally trustless. I would say:
Trustless in sofar:
- only you have access to you funds (you hold the private keys)
- there is no one central entity which has total power over the ledger
Requires trust:
- in pool operators or delegates to not collude or not abuse their power alone (in the case when ghash.io has more than 51%) in order to not get your tx reversed.
(Dis)Agreeable?
