General Discussion / Re: Delegates: Publish price feeds for BitBTC
« on: August 29, 2014, 01:34:18 pm »
i dont get why the orderbook is so far off the real price.

why do people set orders that are not gonna be filled anyways?

Just hoping to catch a wild swing. I agree it's a bit silly, especially the ones way out in left field, but then people buy lottery tickets too :).

aye, putting silly orders in an empty book was probably working for some people in the past ;)

General Discussion / Re: BitUSD Market orders not executing?

Maybe this is just a bug for me. but when i view the bitusd orderbook there are buy and sell orders at the same price.

why do they not get executed?

they get executed but there is a "display  bug" and you don't see the quantity changing until it is all executed + maybe there is 2-3 times the same order from others and you must wait first to clear these orders and then yours. Yesterday there was a big order that took about 2 hours to clear and I thought it was freezed (but no).

oh ok, thx

added some twitter reach, how do you verify if people who post here really joined the campaign?

I can look in the admin page in the Thunderclap campaign and it lists all supporters. ;)

ALSO - I just want everyone to be aware, I will still be matching robrigo's 2 bitUSD offers along with the bonus offers for having significant followers.  At this time, I am still having issues with my client and wallet balances; as soon as those are resolved I will sent out funds :)

my twitter acc has a different name, should i pm you the name of my twitter acc?

How much ram?   If less than 2gb you will need to set up a swapfile.

thx! swapfile did the job

im trying to build bitsharesX on a digitalocean vps (ubuntu 14.04)

when running the makefile i get the following error after a while:
Code: [Select]
[ 73%] Building CXX object libraries/blockchain/CMakeFiles/bts_blockchain.dir/chain_database.cpp.o
c++: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1plus)
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.8/README.Bugs> for instructions.
make[2]: *** [libraries/blockchain/CMakeFiles/bts_blockchain.dir/chain_database.cpp.o] Error 4
make[1]: *** [libraries/blockchain/CMakeFiles/bts_blockchain.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2

windows wallet issues: (win 7)

- when i try to log in with my password i just see the rotating symbol but it doesnt log me in and goes on forever
(temporary issue)

- when i click on accounts in the top left of the gui next to file, and select "my accounts" the ui just turns white and nothing happens
(temporary issue)

- when closing bitshares xt with the file>quit option it says bitshares xt is not working anymore and asks if u wanna close the task

- before logging in when the blockchain syncy and you hover over the sync icon in the bottom right, the information only shows up for a split second. you can not get it to stay and see at what blocks you are

General Discussion / Re: How is the UI going?
« on: May 28, 2014, 10:28:05 am »
Very importand to make a debut with an superb ui that is better than from competitors (like nxt) !!!
I am also very interested about progress here!
Please take EXTRA care on that!
The ui will steal attention from users they have no technical knowledge and they are the most of us!
If the gui is worst than NXTs (as an example) many would interpret that bitshares as a concept is also worst even if it is better. (only dev/programmers etc. would not fall in the trap)

totally agree. people are so easily turned off from bad designed guis. its critical to offer a clean, stylish interface right from the get go
