I don't know how trusted hpenvy is, but nobody send a single Larimer to that address until this is proved legit.

I don't really care one way or another. If you want me to send you 10 btsx and then you send it, fine. I just want this moving forward. I don't know much about bitUSD yet which I understand is the priority for the exchanges.

Looks like someone sent 5 btsx, cool. I'll email him back and let him know to check the thread and you guys can go from there.

I emailed Ronny at CCEDK and received the response below. I've never worked with BitUSD, so I was hoping someone with experience could assist him.

In regards to testing the bitshares I basically just need someone to posting to our btsx address for incoming deposits:

BTSX7LpC53qBkaCfARcrXkAZoNrzfwPy5BTzG7mtKYYP94oc6QEoUX
All pairs are up and running, and as the only one of the new currencies listed, there is still no activity, so that could be nice to have something added even on the sell wall.

Does the Biytusd have its own wallet or how does that one work?

Yours Sincerely,

My hope is that what follows for BitSharesX is a renewed focus on utility of BitUSD and partnerships (OB?), fiat on/off-ramps/cross chain trading/debit cards/bill payment etc...and marketing all of this.

No not imo. I like the general strategy here & I see the value of pegged assets for that market but there's also significant negative mainstream PR & other blowback risk - Think public perception of Bitcoin & Silk Road + other outcomes. However BitAssets are out in the wild so nothing to stop other people using and integrating them.

I see your point but lets not forget the entire Bitcoin community is behind OpenBazaar. For the time being, it doesn't have a negative stigma; quite the opposite actually. All I3 has to do is make it easy for BitUSD to be integrated into an OB merchant node. That means improving multisig and eliminating any other obstacles that may get in the way. Once that's out of the way...

a) We crowdfund the necessary development.
b) An I3 dev anonymously commits the code on GitHub.

We can actually avoid all negative backlash if we frame this as "BitUSD allows OpenBazaar to attract non-drug users because they're the only people willing to put up with Bitcoins volatility". And it's true. OpenBazaar needs our product (or our competitors) if they want mainstream adoption and we need a solid showcase if WE want mainstream adoption. The good vastly outweighs the bad.

+5% Great approach, makes sense from both a functional and business approach to a mainstream consumer.

+5%  Made some good points!  Maybe we should also approach BitPay (or GoCoin).  I'm sure bitUSD could help them to expand their offerings to merchants.

Absolutely. Anything Bitcoin can do BitUSD can do better. Leverage that.

BitUSD

- GoCoin (makes a lot of sense since they support high market cap alts)
- OpenBazaar (some type of referral system)
- Once we're on a payment processor, we approach the ATMs that have either accepted Litecoin or Doge (maybe built in incentive for a consumer to use the ATM for BitUSD)

The goal of this idea is that no dilution occurs unless a user signs up and first buys 1000 bit usd.  Then the dilution is used to purchase bit usd, not sold for real usd.

As long as the referral program is growing there would be no sell pressure at all.

If it works the the users who stick around will provide more than enough new inflow of capital.
I personally think a $100 is way too much. If we are going to do a $100 then it should be for like 2 weeks or something. Personally I think $50 is a great place to start.

"Open Bazaar announces revolutionary decentralized global marketplace. Sign up today and receive up to $100 bitUSD!"

For those not already following, the Open Bazaar comment ties directly to this thread:

For me, Open Bazaar plus a referral program sounds like gold.

I don't even know if this is possible, I'd love to see a DAC make it easy for Bitcoin users to extend their life by getting involved in the Bitshares ecosystem.

What a great opportunity for our Vegas team over the next 3 days.

Normally I would say yes, however keep in mind the Vegas conference. As BM told there won't be any announcements but at least I'm waiting until after October 7th

Huge opportunity for us, I expect some major long term wins being formed during that conference.

As a gaming DAC is being developed, I was curious on the community's thoughts about how these guys are approaching it. Aligning the celebs (one might argue this is the b-crew) with a variety of games at launch.

they will using namecoin for the DNS solution

Maybe they need to be introduced to our system.

DAC PLAY / Re: Whens the Poker DAC coming out?

You make it so sitting at a table has initial transaction cost that could be used to go towards blinds.

e.g. you pre-pay 10 blinds. So if you stick around for 10 rounds, you are good.

It would discourage massive table changes, but for those who really want to hit & run, it's their choice.

Cool similar to the deposit delegates pay.. provide incentive to be honest. That could work.. how about games where blinds are very low but potential for rewards is higher? Thus at some point you may have a point where the 10 blinds aren't enough to sway people from trying to do "hit & run"s.. whatever it is, has to be dynamic enough to not overcharge people to not use the system but has to be enough to detract those those want to manipulate... im sure this is all possible now that I think more about it... and would be interesting to see someone implement it.. I for one would participate as I love to play the game.

In addition, if hand histories were visible, have a way for tables to remove players either with voting at a small cost which can get back to investors or a reputation system. In other words, if someone starts a new table, they can set certain conditions:

- Player must have x reputation
- Player account must be active for y amount of days

Without a centralized security team, there's certainly some challenges with this type of approach to Poker.
